It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our valued drivers, Andrew Bevan.

Andy was a dedicated member of our team whose professionalism, hard work, and positive spirit made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside them. His commitment to safety, reliability, and service exemplified the values we strive to uphold every day.

Beyond his role, Andy was a respected colleague and friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help others, and his relationships he built throughout our organisation. His absence will be felt by many. As a company, we will honour Andy’s memory and the contributions he made to our team.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Andy's family, friends, and loved ones. We ask everyone to keep them in your thoughts as they navigate this profound loss.

BCD Logistics is proud to announce another exciting step in our company’s journey as we continue exploring EV opportunities within our fleet operations! 🚛🔋

This EV trial marks an important move in supporting our long-term sustainability objectives, helping to reduce BCD’s carbon footprint and CO₂ emissions while continuing to enhance the quality and efficiency of the services we provide.

The introduction of electric vehicles reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and increasing operational capacity for our customers and industry partners.

As part of our wider strategy, we are continuing to review options across all vehicle marques to complement and strengthen our alternative fuel offering to the market.

The permanent integration of EVs into the BCD fleet remains part of our long-term vision, as we continue investing in a more sustainable and forward-thinking future for logistics.

A huge thank you to Scania’s teams in Trafford Park and Middleton for their combined efforts and support throughout this project. 👏

💡 Earlier this week, BCD enjoyed a fantastic day at the Microlise Transport Conference connecting with industry leaders and exploring the future of transport technology.

From exclusive product demonstrations to insightful discussions around AI and cyber security, the event showcased just how rapidly our industry is evolving.

🗨️ The ‘Keep Britain Moving’ panel brought together key voices from the RHA, DVSA, National Highways, and Senior Traffic Commissioner Kevin Rooney for an important conversation on the challenges and opportunities facing UK transport today.

With several stages packed full of valuable sessions, engaging Q&As, and an impressive exhibitor line-up, there was plenty of innovation and insight to take away.

After all this talk of the future, it's fair to say we’re excited to see what’s on the road ahead! 🚛
