Interesting results from the latest GCVA and Global data report.

The study revealed that gift cards lead to a larger average spend, particularly among family-aged Millennials. This demographic, often stereotyped as budget-conscious, is more likely to indulge when using a gift card.

Big news! Retailers Asda, Asos and Boohoo have agreed to provide clear and more accurate information about the environmental impact of their clothing lines.

It's so important for companies to be transparent and crack down on misleading 'greenwashing' where the only purpose is to confuse customers. This. is a significant step towards empowering customers to make informed choices.

The CMA launched an investigation into potential greenwashing at the firms in 2022, claiming it was concerned some clothes in the companies' ranges did in fact not meet green criteria.

Why is The Big Plastic Count Happening?
Currently, World Leaders are negotiating the United Nations Global Plastic Treaty. This treaty is the first of it kind to prevent the harmful impact of single-use plastic.

Greenpeace UK and Everyday Plastic are collaborating with The Big Plastic Count. This week-long event is in aid of gathering evidence on how much single-use plastic we use. The hope is that with this evidence, pressure can be put on organisations and governments to force alternatives to plastic onto the market.

🚨 The point of this count is not to make you feel guilty about the amount of plastic you use 🚨

Only to highlight the amount of single-use plastic we use because we are offered no alternatives.

Why is Green Gift Cards taking part?
Our ethos, brand and identity are built on removing single-use plastic from the UK gift card industry. We talk to our clients about how removing plastic not only benefits the environment and their brand's image but it removes the guilt of pollution from their customers and offers a simple sustainable solution.
