⚽ A brilliant afternoon at Plainmoor!

Last Saturday, Cab R49 - Tony, who works with our sister company Raven Taxis was the lucky winner of our recent driver raffle, picking up 2 x Bristow’s Bench tickets to watch Torquay United AFC at home.

R49 took his son along for the afternoon, and it was great to see the tickets turned into a proper father-and-son day out at Plainmoor.

We were really pleased to see Tony's name come out of the draw and even more pleased to see him enjoying the prize with his son. Hopefully, it made for a great Saturday afternoon and a few good memories along the way!

There are family get-togethers, meals out, busy seafronts and one last determined attempt to use everything bought for the summer before it goes back into the cupboard.

We’ll be operating around the clock throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, including Monday 31 August. Torbay is likely to be busy, so if you have a restaurant booking, train to catch or somewhere you need to be at a particular time, it’s sensible to arrange your journey in advance.

Does your dog possess a secret talent, a particularly waggy tail or simply the unshakeable belief that everyone has gathered especially to admire them? 🐾

The Paignton Lions Club Fun Day and Family Dog Show is coming to Young’s Park on Sunday 23 August, from 11am until 4pm.

Alongside the dog show, there’ll be stalls, face painting and entertainment from local performers, making it a lovely day out for the whole family. It’s also a chance to support Paignton Lions Club, whose fundraising helps people in need locally, nationally and internationally.

The Torbay Royal Regatta returns from Friday 21 to Monday 24 August, bringing four days of competitive racing to the Bay. With visiting sailors arriving from around the country and several National Championships taking place, there should be plenty of action to watch from the harbourside and coastline.

The Torbay Royal Regatta has been part of our summer for over 200 years, and it’s one of those occasions that reminds us just how lucky we are to call this beautiful part of Devon home.
