Steward Transport have an opening for an experienced Mechanic / Fitter to join our Kent based workshop team in Paddock Wood, Kent.
The ideal candidate should be well versed in the following areas..
MOT preparation.
Vehicle Inspections.
Electrical / Mechanical fault finding.
Servicing and repair.
Engine / Gearbox repairs / overhauls.
Experience with Hydraulic’s and Hydraulic fault diagnostics would be an advantage.
You should have the ability to accurately record issues found / parts used & time spent on job cards.
Able to work well within a team environment or on your own, depending on the task given.
An LGV licence would be preferred but is not essential.
The company runs a fleet of mainly modern Volvos that are fitted with hydraulic cranes or Moffat’s that are used for unloading but we also take on outside work, this being a range of vehicles from HGV’s / light commercial vehicles / trailers & mechanical equipment.
