So.... After a huge response to my posts about ridiculous invoices from main dealers for the most simple of jobs I've registered a website name called Fix My Truck Online & set up a page. Ive spoken to my website guys this morning to get the ball rolling. When you break down away from base it's really hard to know who to call for help. Continuously main dealers are ripping people off & enough is enough. This will be designed to help the little man save costs. Little man being the haulier who is broken down and then the company offering services to repair said truck / trailer etc. It will be a map based system, if break down in Leeds, you can look on the map & see who is near to you that can help, you can contact them directly.
There will be no cost to anyone who breaks down to use this service. Any business to wants to register will not have to pay anything for the 1st year. After the 1st year there will be a membership fee, (Maybe £100 or so per year) - Im not doing this to make a profit, But websites & apps are not cheap. I would need to cover my costs.
This would be open to....
Hauliers with Workshops.
Workshops.
Tyre Companies.
Recovery Companies.
Electrical Repairs.
Mobile Fitters.
Valeters.
Safe Parking.
Truck Stops.
Truck Washes.
Restaurants.
MOT Stations.
Tail Lifts.
Moffetts.
Refrigeration Specialists.
Curtain Repairs.
Cosmetic Repairs.
Windscreen Repair.
Crane Repairs.
Tanker Repairs.
Rubber Hose Replacement.
Just about anything that can help hauliers would be welcome.
It is estimated there is 500,000 HGV’s on the road in the UK.
Coverage for the UK - Ireland & Europe.
This is going to take a while to set up but I think it could be amazing. (Could also fall flat on its face, but if you don't try you don't know, & I would rather have a go & fail then not have a go at all)
Just think of all the extra business it could bring to small independently owned companies who offer services to the transport industry. All payments would need to be made immediately as well which will build trust in the industry. Also can leave reviews and feedback for each workshop etc for the level of service you received.
HELP THE LITTLE MAN.
F*** CORPORATE GREED.
So many people have asked me to do this, so please get behind it. No one expects things to be done for free or cheap, But also people detest being ripped off, Lets all put a stop to that.

This isn't a profit making exercise & no one would pay anything for 1st year, so they could see if they got value from it. Membership fee would be next to nothing, just a couple hours of labour rate for the whole year.
