C1 season review for Midland Tyre Shavings customers.

Every official C1 race this season has been won by Midland Tyre Shaving tyre shod Customers along with many other podium positions.

Keeping our unblemished record of every 24 hr race since C1 racing started being won on Midland shaved tyres.

The C1 class in the 2cv 24hr race was also won by a Midland Tyre Shaving customer.

Of the 7 events 6 Fastest lap times were recorded by Midland Tyre Shaving customers.

Remember NOT all tyre shaving is the same, Midland tyre profiling is generated on an unrivalled 1 off unique machine that is solid profile based, we can guarantee the profile is identical on every tyre we shave.

Midland has 3 unique profiles for C1 racing depending upon driving styles of any teams set up/driving abilities.

Yes you read that right 3 profiles, we have developed a new profile specifically for wet races.

We never stop development, always working hard to give our clients race winning proven products.

Its the time of year to look forward to Anglesey for the Race of Remberance and the Portugal 24 hr.

Midland Tyre C1 Shaving

With the announcement of the new owners,
Nick Beaumont and Tony Read for 2025

We are back up to full production and will cater for old and new customers alike.

Offering the Midland Profile and the Hybrid Camber Profile which have between them finished top of the podium in the 4 previous Silverstone 24 hour events as well as many other podium places.

In 2024, with only a small number of teams having access to the Midland products, saw 4 wins out of 5 events and with many podiums as well.

Race of rememberence saw a podium clean sweep to C1 teams running Midland shaved tyres.

As fellow C1 racers, we would like to announce that Midland Tyre Shaving will be offering a shaving credit voucher to any of our customers finishing in the top 3 podium positions for the 24hr race at Silverstone 2025.

1st £200 credit
2nd £100 credit
3rd £50 credit

Vouchers redeemable until end of March 2026.

Midland Tyre shaving prices for this year will remain the same as last year.
At an extra cost and with pre-booking, circuit tyre fitting at C1 rounds will be available.

Midland Tyre Shaving would like to introduce the new owners.

Mr Tony Read who has a history in rallying and an engineering background.
Tony started rallying a number of years ago and has competed in circuit rallys along with closed road rallys like the Manx.

Mr Nick Beaumont who has a history of racing from a young age as well as running a race team, competing in championships within the UK and Europe.
Nick has competed in race events as high as BTCC, along with many other championships over the years, wInning the C1 24hr of Estoril in a C1 in December last year.

A deal that has been put together see's the business moved to Chesire, located 5 minutes from Oulton Park.
Keeping Marcus involved as a technical consultant for the coming years creates our perfect team.

"It started after a conversation in Novemeber last year with Marcus, just before we went to Portugal, whilst collecting some tyres that he had machined for me. We talked about what could be possible and how to keep Marcus in the business, whilst taking into consideration his health. A deal was done and so we have moved everything to our workshop in Tarporley and are open for business again"

1st post for over 17 months and its a BIG one.

Today Midland Tyre Shaving has new owners, I will remain as point of contact and technical consultant for the coming years.

The new owners will be announced very soon, we are still working on some amazing new projects and offers to be revealed at the same time.

After last years limited customer base and production which gave fantastic results across a spectrum of championships and historic races.

Hi All,

Following a life changing event on July 2nd I am recovering as well as can be expected, its going to be a long process, Im 10 weeks into a possible 12 month recovery to full health.

This has led me to re evaluate my life and I have decided to sell Midland Tyre Shaving Ltd.

This unique tyre shaving business is built on a 1 off self manufactured solid profiling machine unequalled in quality and performance by any other available machine.

The business runs on very low overheads with a high profit return.

With a custoner base of over 500 clients and race and championship winning products, the income stream will be instant from day 1.

I will include full training on the machine and development consultancy going forward to make sure the new owners can stay at the front of the grid.

All, Marcus was taken to hospital last night where he will likely remain for some time. This means that midland trye shaving will not be operating during this period.

Apologies for the inconvenience this will cause; Marcus will hate letting his customers down.

I will endeavour to respond to calls but this will not always be possible and so ask that customers wait to get in touch if possible and don't send tyres to the unit.

I hope to provide a more positive update in the coming days/weeks.

Chevron B8 Tyre correction.

The Dunlop tyre this season have an issue with the inner and outer edge rising upwards.

This issue makes the car very twitchy, simple fix by Midland Tyre Shaving is to use a solid profile to blend the edges in.

All performance gains are invaluable however small.
Small Tyre profile changes can make a big gains in performance.

Always new challenges to overcome in motorsport.
