Michael is one of our volunteers who helps in the workshop. He has been working on restoring the water pump for our ‘Planet’ built by F C Hibberd and is works number 17760 of 1931, which ran successfully today.

It was one of several locomotives built for Sheffield Corporation Waterworks and was delivered new to Deepcar Station, as it was the closest station to the reservoirs.
