The medals are ready - are you?

This weekend sees the final ride in our series Couch to 100km in 10 Weeks Challenge 2026. After 10 weeks, the BIG ONE has arrived, which will see our group ride 100km👍.
So far this year, as a group we have ridden a staggering 8676 miles - are you going to be part of the team that sees us smash the 10,000 mile barrier?

We welcome anyone to join and ride with us, whether this is your first time or someone who has participated on previous rides. We will never leave anyone behind. Riders who have missed previous rides / weeks are always welcome to join this weeks ride. All we ask is that new riders arrive approximately 20 minutes before scheduled start time.

** Please note that the challenge is now at week 10, where the distance is circa 100km (62.2miles) , which a approximately 5-6 hours of cycling. If you are new to endurance cycling, this ride may not be the most suitable for you. Please reach out to us using the message system. We regularly host shorter rides, details of which are available via the Lets Ride web site

Please bring a bottle for your bike with your favourite thirst quencher and snacks to keep you going. For all your rides we recommend that you bring a spare inner tube that is suitable for your bike, plus a pump. We request that all riders wear a cycle helmet (compulsory for children). If your wheels are bolted on, then please bring a spanner that fits your bike’s wheel nuts. You should dress appropriately for the weather and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or a debit card. Some places only accept card payments these days.

Today saw 38 riders from the Lets Ride Swindon group complete Week 9 of the Couch to 100km Challenge 2026. With the return of the sunny weather, the group cycled 90km (55miles) out through the Cotswolds for a well deserved Coffee and infamous cinnamon bun at Blakes Cafe in Clanfield, returning to Swindon via Fairford, Down Ampney and Ashton Keynes. For many of the riders, this was the furthest that they had ever ridden. Well done to everyone!

Tonight saw over 20 riders from the Swindon Lets Ride take part in a free emergency roadside repair course at the Moredon Sporting Hub. The sessions were only possible due to the continued support of Swindon Cycles and Mitchell Cycles, whose staff along with Lewis Lawton took our riders through various road side repair scenarios, where riders were able to practice on their own bikes.

Our next ride is this weekend, where we already have group of 39 riders taking part. Details of our ride are at https://www.letsride.co.uk/rides/week-1-couch-to-100km-challenge-2026-8
