I grew up in northwest London but spent the past two decades living in Bristol, Kiev, Paris and Hamburg, before settling in Wiltshire. 🌍 I and my assistant Bandit are changing our office to Cornwall for the next week! It’s been a busy week helping clients plan some amazing adventures. I’ve been booking last-minute sunshine escapes to Greece and Turkey, as well as a special 80th birthday celebration on a Danube River Cruise this autumn.

Looking ahead to 2027, I’m currently working on some incredible itineraries, including:

Now I’m home after three amazing weeks in Thailand, I’ve been looking back on what an incredible trip it was… and just how easy it was to do a multi-centre adventure.

Across 8 destinations and 9 hotels, every stop offered something completely different. From unforgettable experiences at Elephant Hills, to the peaceful hidden gem of Khanom at Aava Resort & Spa, it really showcased so many different sides of Thailand 🐘🌴

Centara Villas Phi Phi Island had the most incredible views, Outrigger Khao Lak was perfect for total beach relaxation, and Haadtien Beach Resort was amazing for snorkelling straight from the beach 🐠 Every destination has its own unique charm, and combining a few together makes for such an unforgettable trip ❤️

I’m pretty sure I won’t leave it another 36 years before I visit again 😉

Our final stop before heading back to Bangkok for our flight home ……was a super-fast speedboat ride to Ao Nang, Krabi 🌴🚤...

After staying in such peaceful and serene resorts, arriving in Ao Nang was a completely different experience and very different from my memories of Krabi over 35 years ago!

The town is now full of life, with a long stretch of restaurants, bars, shops, and lively nightlife creating a real buzz day and night.

Thankfully, the Avani Hotel provided a peaceful and relaxing base right in the heart of the action and the perfect balance for our final few days in Thailand

Onward to Phi Phi 🌴🚤

After travelling by road to Phuket and than a speedboat, we arrived directly at the beautiful centaravillasphiphiisland… and the first thing Paul said as we checked into our room was, “Best view ever!” 😍

With just 40 villas, this boutique property feels peaceful, elegant, and perfectly tucked away in paradise. The resort is set on the hillside, so while the buggy service helps take you up and down, there are still plenty of steps so definitely something to keep in mind for anyone with walking difficulties.

No stay in Phi Phi would be complete without visiting the iconic Maya Beach, famous for being the filming location of The Beach 🩵 Such an incredible place to experience in real life!

Checking into paradise at the beautiful OUTRIGGER Khao Lak Beach Resort, where golden sands, swaying palms, and the sparkling Andaman Sea create the ultimate tropical escape 🩵

Days here were all about slowing down, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying the ocean views

And just when the heat peaked, the skies put on a show… spectacular afternoon lightning storms rolling across the sea giving way to some stunning sunsets. Nature’s own entertainment! By morning, the blue skies returned like nothing had happened

Thailand really does know how to do beach life perfectly 🌴

After a few amazing days on Koh Tao, it was time to hop back on the ferry to the mainland.

We stopped overnight is Surat Thani, ready for an early pick-up the next morning… destination: Elephant Hills tented camp in the Khao Sok National Park 🐘🌿

I’ve booked this experience for so many of my clients over the years, so I’m so excited to finally be doing the full 3-day adventure myself! And let’s be honest… anything involving wildlife is completely my thing 😍
