So we have been a bit quiet this week but for good reason...
This week we had the privilege of competing at The Royal Windsor Horse Show.
Now it is not lost on us what a privilege it is to take part in such an event, but there is an immense amount of preparation that goes into making it happen.
What you don't see is the work that Simon and our team put into weeks and even months before, from training the horses everyday, polishing harness , shining brass, bathing, plaiting, grooming and thats without managing our coachman's emotional ups and downs... and for all the competitors the goal is to be their best and hopefully win.
For us this Windsor was special, we did not come first place but for us we won in other ways.
Our mum, Alison was in pride of place, up front next to her son Simon, Ewan competed in his first horn blowing competition and was the youngest competitor, it was the first time this team of horses have competed together and we got to drive in the most beautiful setting with the Royals looking on π
So winning doesn't always look like a rosett or a cup... it looks like this β€οΈ
