Property of the Month: 🏜️ Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp
If you're looking for one of Namibia's most extraordinary wilderness experiences – where desert-adapted wildlife roams through vast, otherworldly landscapes and scattered shipwrecks cling to the legendary Skeleton Coast - Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp deserves a place on your radar.
Set deep within the remote Hoanib Valley, this exceptional fly-in camp sits in one of Africa's last true wilderness areas. Rugged mountains, dry riverbeds and endless desert plains create a landscape that feels almost untouched by time.
Accommodation is limited to just eight spacious tented suites, hosting a maximum of 18 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views across the valley, while shaded private decks offer the perfect spot to watch the changing desert light. The family suite, with two interconnected en-suite tents, is ideal for those travelling with older children.
The wildlife here is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Desert-adapted elephants move through the river valleys, alongside giraffe, oryx, springbok and Hartmann's mountain zebra. Guests may also encounter desert lions or elusive brown hyenas. Birdlife is equally impressive, with raptors soaring above the dramatic landscapes.
A stay of three nights or more includes an unforgettable excursion to Namibia's wild Atlantic shoreline, where shipwrecks, towering dunes and vast seal colonies create one of Africa's most hauntingly beautiful coastal scenes.
