SELF GUIDED paddles:

🛶 Explorer Paddles: 90 min of ‘nature bathing’ in the calm upper river. Perect for having a go with young paddlers or first timers. Start time 0930. Price £45 per canoe.

🛶 Paddle’n’Pub: A gentle 2 mile / 1 hour paddle each way from our base in Sudbury to The Henny Swan where a warm welcome and lunch await. Perfect for couples, friends, families and small groups. Self-guided trip times 11am-3pm and 1130am-3.30pm. Price £90 per canoe.

🛶 One-way Sudbury to Bures: Explore the landscapes that inspired some of the biggest names in British art and get closer to nature paddling 6 miles at your own pace, stop at a pub, picnic under a willow or go wild swimming, it’s your day. Self guided trips start at 11am and well collect the boat from you in Bures at 5pm while you hop on the scenic train. One-way canoe hire price £110 per canoe.

🛶 One-way Sudbury to Nayland: Following c14 miles of the calm and tranquil river as it meanders through quintessentially Essex & Suffolk landscapes. Full day one way hire, incl transfers £145 per canoe.

🛶 Stour Descent (canoe camping): paddle the full 26 miles of the Stour Navigation from Sudbury to the sea. Includes all on-water kit, all transfers, two nights pitch fees and oneway hire, £450 per two person canoe.

Scheduled GUIDED paddles (per person >12 yrs old):

🛶 🌅 Evening Canoe Safaris. Every Wednesday, 7pm-9pm. £35pp (private groups up to 10 paddlers, £300)

🛶 🌅 Evening Paddle’n’Pub: every Thursday, 6pm-10pm. £55pp (private groups up to 10 paddlers, £450)

After Office Hours - Guided Evening Paddles from our Sudbury base.

Join us for a gentle evening paddle on the Upper River Stour as it meanders gently through the Essex & Suffolk countryside.

Perfect for groups of friends, colleagues and teams.

Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife (including ducks, swans, terrapin, otter, heron and kingfisher) and expect to paddle approximately 45 mins each way with 20-30 mins for a picturesque refreshment break enroute.

Paddles set off at 7pm (arriving back 9pm)

Private group bookings are available any day and are charged at £300 for up to 10 paddlers (min age 12)

Paddle’n’Pub in the sun this weekend on the glorious Essex & Suffolk River Stour from our base in the heart of Sudbury.

Self-guided trips start 11am & 11:30am.

Explore 2 miles (1hrs paddle time) of tranquil and calm paddling through quintessentially English rolling countryside to the pub - stop for a meal / refreshments or carry on downriver for private spots and a little wild swimming before heading back (boats back 3pm / 3:30pm)

Suitable for friends, families and paddlers of all abilities.
