Isbister Bros Ltd Based at the heart of Quoyloo, Isbister Brothers is one of the oldest family-run businesses in Orkney, founded in 1929.

Changes to our Coal and Gas Delivery Service

Unfortunately, due to staff shortages, we will no longer be able to offer a coal and gas delivery service for our private customers, effective from 12 October 2026.

You can still buy all your winter fuels directly from us. Household coal, smokeless fuel, Calor gas, logs, kindling, and peat will remain available for collection at our Quoyloo shop.

Please note that this change only affects domestic deliveries. Our wholesale and business delivery services will continue to operate as normal.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions or wish to check our stock before visiting, please do not hesitate to contact us.

CLOSING EARLY

The shop will be closing at 5pm today so we can finish cleaning up after the flood. We will be open from 9am tomorrow as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT - SHOP
Tuesday 15th September

Due to flooding, the shop will not be open at 9am today. We are on operation clean-up and we hope to open as soon as possible. We will pop an update on Facebook when this is the case.
All other departments and Gairsty Quarry will be open as usual.
