There are just a couple weeks to go until Father’s Day so if your struggling to find something really special for your Dad, why not treat him to an unforgettable experience - a Gliding Experience Flight.

You can choose between a 2000ft or a 3000ft flight experience which your Dad can arrange to have on a date and time to suit him. You and other family members are also very welcome to join him at the club where you can get refreshments at our Wings And Wheels Cafe . Another great day at the Midlands Air Festival yesterday with people signing up for new memberships and our Women’s Gliding Weekend which will be held in August. While back at the club we were supporting pilots and display teams by providing fuel as well as refreshments at the Wings And Wheels Cafe . After a lovely evening at the Midlands Air Festival talking to visitors and watching the evening events which included an impressive hot air balloon launch, we’re now ready for day two!

So, if you want to learn more about gliding pop over to our display area where we’ll be happy to explain how it all works and highlight the different aspects of this diverse hobby whether that’s long-distance flights, vintage gliding or simply learning to soar over the local countryside. Our ‘on-stand’ discounts are available again today for visitors who also have the opportunity to win a trial flight experience with us.

A busy day at the Midlands Air Festival today and the evening shift is now about to begin! It's been great talking to Festival visitors and also meeting fellow flyers who were attending the event. And the sun did come out eventually! Thanks also to the club members who've helped man our stand including (pictured) Bo, one of our junior members, Lee a power member who bases his Cub aeroplane at Bidford, Julia our Office Manager and Emma from our banner sponsors, TCN. Looking forward to the 'NightFire' event this evening and to meeting more visitors tomorrow!

We’re delighted to be exhibiting at the Midlands Air Festival again this year (Ragley Hall, Alcester, 29-31 May)! If you’re attending the Festival, pop over for a chat with our members. We’ll be happy to talk to you about our club, which is popular with both glider and powered aircraft pilots, the sport of gliding and the different memberships we offer.

Sadly we only have 1 and 2 seater aircraft at Bidford. No room for Bella (the dog) and it took us a little while to get her a safe distance from the launch point before Sue could have her experience flight. Sue is a member of the Romahome (small camper)community who spent the weekend at our club.
