Established in 1976 as an owner driver operator with a Ford “D” Series Truck the company has grown and developed over the years and now operates a modern mixed fleet of over 40 vehicles. Chris Bennett (Heavy Haulage) Ltd is now one of the leading specialists in its field and provides a general and heavy haulage service to some of the largest Blue Chip Construction, Engineering, Plant Hire, Manufac

turing and Demolition companies across the UK. The company is family owned and family run and takes great pride in providing the excellent levels of service that are attributed to a company where the Directors are very hands on and have a full understanding of the business, its customers and its customers’ requirements. Operating from its depot in Stockport, Cheshire close to the motorway network, enables Chris Bennett to provide a comprehensive haulage service throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. Most of our vehicles are franchise maintained and our depot benefits from its own fully equipped workshop and franchised trained technicians, fabricators and welders ensuring our fleet of vehicles are kept on the move and uptime is kept to a maximum. Our drivers are trained to the highest of standards and are all equipped with mobile communications. Our vehicles are all fitted with the latest satellite tracking facilities ensuring we know where your consignment is anytime of the day or night. Our customer service centre is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is manned by fully trained and experienced operators who can help with all eventualities. We also have available indoor and outdoor storage facilities and fork lift equipment capable of off-loading up to 14 tonne.

A WELL-EARNED FAREWELL AND A NEW APPOINTMENT AT CHRIS BENNETT (HEAVY HAULAGE) LIMITED!!

After 27 loyal, committed and rewarding years we are both sad and happy to be saying goodbye to our Transport Planner, Alan Bate.

Alan will be well known to both customers and suppliers of Chris Bennett as usually the first voice they hear when ringing our company and has been looking after our general haulage fleet for the past 27 years. It is now time however for a well earned rest as he retires from the industry he has served so well since the tender age of 15.

We wish Alan all the best in his impending retirement which he assures us will be spent wisely carrying out some DIY at home intertwined with some time under a warm sun on a beach!

Another stalwart of 26 years, Andy Greig, who looks after our abnormal load and hiab side of our operations so it will be very much business as usual.

We look forward to the future now as we celebrate our 50 years of business.
