The past few weeks we've had the privilege to meet quite a few runners who were training to do the Manchester 10k today. Each was running for a great cause. So a shout out to every single person who entered today, we hope it all went well and the shop monkeys all doth their caps.

Thank-you all for your amazing messages of support. I know for a fact our family and friends have read them and we genuinely appreciate every single one.

We hope we did Pete proud today. He loved a pint and loved his food so we made sure he wasn't left out.

Ps To be honest he'll be fuming about that tiny portion of food we served him!

Not a post I ever thought I'd have to make but if it helps save one life then it's worth it.

Today we say goodbye to my cousin Peter who sadly took his own life a few weeks ago. Another victim of su***de, taken from us all far too soon.

Some of you would have seen, or even met, Pete as he'd pop up here from time to time. Sure enough, within 10 mins of arriving he would have us both laughing away like two naughty school kids as he "helped" in shop.

He was a genuine, kind hearted, thoughtful guy who would always put others first and with a laser like, quick wit that would have you in stitches before you knew it.

For anyone reading this who is struggling, PLEASE reach out. There is help out there.

It may feel like there's no end to how you're feeling but remember, it's a storm, it WILL pass. Don't ever be afraid to seek help.

As I'm sure you are aware, we have a duty of care to our shop monkeys.

In this heat we have to be very careful they don't pass out in the shop.....so we've sent one of them to Chesterfield... to do some welding on the catering trailer 🥵🤣.

When he phoned to complain, "it's really hot!" I did question why I could hear the clinking of drinks in the background ....almost as if they were in a beer garden.... hold on a minute!

Another of our VIPs (Very Important Pooches). She visited us this morning and told us she had a busy day of pampering ahead as she was booked into the hairdressers. Hope you enjoyed your day Loki!

The little Florist Monkey, aka Julie Unsworth, takeover has now ended 😞.

But fear not! She'll be back with her stunning faux flower displays and causing more Chaos!!!😁🫣

So many of you loved her faux flowers, realistic hanging baskets. No watering, no maintenance and even our shop monkeys didn't kill them!

We strongly believe local businesses supporting each other is the future hence, we are delighted the cheeky Terranium Monkey aka Leaves and prickles has agreed to hold another pop-up shop here on Sunday 31st May. Yay! 😁

Just as long as Florist Monkey and Terranium Monkey don't ever team up with our shop monkeys oh that WOULD be chaos and carnage!😬🤞
