It is with a heavy heart and great regret that the time has come to hang up my Evri jacket for the very last time. It has been an absolute delight and pleasure serving the Staplehurst community over the past 2.5 years, during which I have delivered just over 22,000 parcels and packages.

Sadly, the ever increasing and erratic depot opening times have made it almost impossible to continue on a part time basis while fitting deliveries around my other work commitments.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the smiles, waves, greetings, and kindness you have shown me over the years. And who knows โ€” as I still drive for the Jumeira Restaurant Group, we may well meet again very soon.

I would especially like to thank the Evri round owners, Danny Lee and Paul Barber , for giving me the opportunity to work with them. Last, but by no means least, my biggest thanks go to Staplehurst Tyres LTD who have always bent over backwards to ensure my little flashy light machine kept going every single day.

My very best and most grateful wishes to you all.

Chivalry isn't dead but it was a little bit wet today. Happily going along Babylon Lane this morning through the floods with just 3 parcels left to deliver when two cars came towards me. Being an old school Gentleman I signalled them to continue and pulled over to the left to let them through wrongly thinking that there was enough hard standing. That awful feeling when your car starts to slide sideways towards the trees ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

I would like to thank everyone who passed by and enquired as to my welfare. Very warming. Then a knight in shining armour (or rather a big truck) very kindly offered to assist with trying to get me out. Huge huge thanks to the (name unknown) man from CHM Developments who tried everything but alas we failed. On his recommendation I called up Knocks Recovery who were with me within the hour and 20 minutes later I was back on the road. Absolutely outstanding service.

Three outstanding parcels delivered, new wing mirror ordered, trip to Argos to buy a wet vacuum cleaner to suck out the three inches of ditch water slopping about my passenger footwells and a quick call to my lovely friends at Staplehurst Tyres to get the car booked in for an underbody check over.

Hasn't put me off being chivalrous but maybe next time I'll just reverse back up the lane ๐Ÿคฃ

Good Morning. Sadly I had a little altercation with my staircase this morning and fell down the bottom two rendering me unable to walk more than a few paces today. I have managed to text 40 of my customers who were due parcels today and offered them to come and collect from me. Unfortunately I have 10 drops that do not have a contact number so hope it's okay to post here. Please do call me if you wish to collect today and haven't received a text from me already.
