Happy New Year Everyone 🎉

Started the year with a visit to the Birmingham Dogs Home in Featherstone to deliver bedding and pillows to the dogs in need of rehoming in there!

Took my two little helpers too and they were thrilled as they got a certificate from the lovely staff on the reception desk 💙 💙 !

Sounded like they had lots of dogs in their care so we will be back soon once we’ve got a few more bits ready to go! 🐕 🐶 🐩

Thank you Sue Tate Was Pearce for delivering a car packed full of ornaments, glassware, lamps, toys, dvds and other homeware to an amazing charity shop in Stafford that supports multiple local charities across the Staffordshire county.

These guys have raised over £75,000 in 2024 for these local charities so are truly amazing! 🤩

Feel Good Friday!

A bit of ice and snow won’t stop us delivering our sorted household items to our local charity shops today! ❄️☃️

2 x boxes to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust in Codsall (that’s all they would take today 😔)

4 x boxes to Compton Care in Codsall

8 x boxes to Beacon in Penkridge

That’s only a fraction of what we still need to deliver so more sorting and more drop offs for us to clear the decks ready for our next couple of house clearances!

It feels good to stock up the charity shops to help them get ready for Christmas! 🤶 💕

We’ve had lots of contact this week requesting quotes for House Clearances which is great for a small local business like us!

Getting a quote is easy peasy!

You can reach out to us via email, messenger, watsapp, text or call and let us know some basic details of the clearance and the location along with a contact name and number and we will give you a ring to discuss your need, timescales and arrange for one of us to pop along to the property and produce a quote from what we can see.

If you are unable to meet us at the property (as families can often live away from each other) but have photos of each room that’s also fine, we can use those to produce your quote too!

Just get in touch and leave the rest to us!

It’s sort-out-day!

After a clearance we bring all the items back to our family farm and sort them into;

1. Charity shops (bric a brac, clothes, homeware)
2. Charity shops (furniture)
3. Dogs home (blankets, bedding)
4. Food banks
5. Freecycle

Everyone gets stuck in and we make this fun with putting our favourite tunes on and treating the team to something naughty for lunch!

It’s half term so we’ve got a couple of extra little helpers too! 💙💙

Aston Barn Interiors has worked with us since Blakeloves started and Chris works her magic breathing new life into unloved furniture; saving quality furniture from landfill. Aston Barn Interiors offers a commissioned bespoke renovation and upcycling service; this could be your own piece or she can source specific items on request. She also has completed pieces for sale.

Today we cleared a bungalow in Cannock. The customer saw our posts online and we were pleased we could help after his Uncles passing.

The family had tried to get the charity shops in to clear some items but were unsuccessful in getting them there and they had kindly already gifted all the food and other items to some food banks and clothes banks!

Theres still Lots of blankets and towels for the dogs home and other bits and bobs for the other charities we support! Also there is lots of dvds and cds for any one who can make use of them were all about the recycling and upcycling so there less to go to landfill!

Ended up being 2 full van loads for us to sort this week but hopefully will be alot of items that can be of use to people who need them!

*SUNDAY FUNDAY*

We worked with a lovely family today in Telford who need this property turning around quickly following a bereavement. The council need to refurb it and get new tenants in asap so we’ve worked the weekend to get it sorted for them!

It was a small property but there was plenty to do clearing a lifetime of possessions! Here’s our before and after videos to give you an insight into our work!

So it’s International Week of Happiness at Work….

And we absolutely love doing what we do here at Blakeloves!! We meet lots of nice families, get to support the local charities that are close to our hearts and get great personal satisfaction from our clearances

We’ve had lots of positive feedback from our customers too, here’s our very first review plus one from 2023 and 2024! This sort of feedback makes the job even more fun!
