Travelling the world like a local.

No matter which country you travel to, take a moment to see how the locals move, travel, eat, and enjoy everyday life. What you’ll often discover is that some of the most authentic, memorable, and inexpensive experiences come when you step away from the typical tourist path.

While exploring Cape Coast in Ghana, my travel family jumped into local transport (they don’t call it a tuk tuk in Ghana!) and negotiated one of the best rides around the local markets, hidden food spots, and areas of the town that would never normally make it onto a guided tour.

What stood out most was the warmth of the people. Everywhere we went, we were met with smiles, conversations, and genuine hospitality.

The lesson?

Travel like the locals when you can. Eat where they eat. Travel how they travel. Explore beyond the brochure.

Because sometimes the best memories are found in the places the tour guide never mentioned.
