A2B Accessible

A2B Accessible I provide a very needed wheelchair-accessible transport service. I am good at what I'm doing. Here I am!

I am an experienced, highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional. Working with different disabilities I have noticed how hard is to access fully accessible transport, especially for wheelchair users.

With a heavy heart I am announcing the closure of A2B Accessible. This small but very much needed and valuable service did not survive financial pressure, after my van was vandalised and then broken down. The price of insurance was too high, especially after loosing a lot of business due to very long and costly repairs. I have tried to restart but no luck. I also tried to find suitable person or company to take this business over and continue providing the service. I had few messages from different people but it turned out they were just time wasters. I am deeply sorry I let so many vulnerable people down and left Southport without a crucial transportation for disable citizens. It has been a pleasure and great adventure though.

There are calls for me to get A2B back on the road. People call me every day to book wheelchair transport. I'll do my best.

Hello friends. I have been silent for some time now. I think it's because this whole situation upsets me and a lot of my clients. I haven't been on the road since August 21st which is over month ago, due to my vehicle been smashed by someone and then also engine failure. Garage texted me this morning and apparently faulty fuel pump caused all sorts of problems and van will be taken to different garage on the 2nd of October. It doesn't change the fact that it's taking ages and I personally think that people at the garage just can't be bothered. With the heavy and sad heart I want to apologise to all and announce that I will no longer be running A2B Accessible. This whole situation created a massive financial burden. It wasn't easy from the very start to be honest. Sefton's Taxi Licensing Department made me wait almost 2 years for my licences, during which I already had to pay finance on the vehicle that hasn't been generating any income. It's a great business and very busy but I will not be able to bounce back. As soon as van is fixed I'll try to sell this business to someone decent who can continue providing this massively needed service. I have to cancel many trips every day. Trips which have been booked weeks in advance. Also every day I have to refuse further bookings. Doing this is absolutely destroying me. For example I had to cancel one of my clients. His wife died and funeral was held at the Preston Crematorium. He couldn't get there. This is soul destroying.

Hi. I would love to give you some good news but I don't have any. My van is still at the garage and everything I have worked on so hard is slipping away from me. I have to call my clients every day and cancel trips which were booked weeks and months ago. This is soul destroying. I seriously doubt I will survive this and probably will be forced to sell A2B. Nightmare.

Hi. I thought I'll give you an update on the situation. Van is going to the garage on Tuesday and until then I am not really able to say when A2B Accessible will be back on the road. My only hope is that the repair will not cost me a fortune as this will decide on the future of the business. I never thought it will be so expensive to run. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels the squeeze recently. I feel sorry for other small businesses. I hope I'll survive on the market. Many people depend on me.

Bad luck continues. Smashed windscreen discovered on Monday, which now has been replaced and if that's not enough last night my van has broken down on Virginia Street. It took 7 hours for the recovery to arrive and tow me home. I apologise. I had to cancel many clients. Some of them had important hospital appointments, other had funeral to attend. I hope I will be able to expand in the future and situations like these will not be a problem as there will be another vehicle.
Someone also pulled my sliding doors handles off earlier this year but I never mentioned.
Bud luck or what?

Facebook is asking what's on my mind? Well I'm fed up, that's what is on my mind. I came back from my holiday today, as soon as I arrived home I checked my van. Privacy glass in the side door smashed to pieces. Lovely. I don't want to accuse anybody as I haven't seen anything, also the view from the house across the road is obstructed by the big tree. No chance of CCTV recording. If the person who did this is reading this message I want you to know that I don't hate you, I just want you to break a leg or injure yourself so you become a wheelchair user, like all my clients. You will realise how important this service is for people.

Hello dear people. I am finally going on holiday. A2B Accessible will be inactive between 25.07 and 18.08. For a long time now my life has been about working hard only. No pleasures, very little time for my family. I think I deserve a rest. I know many of my clients will find difficult to get alternative transport. I hope you understand. I'm sorry for any inconvenience and I will see you on the 18th of August. I will reply to texts and WhatsApp.
