Notice to mariners

USV “X-30” will transit the Milford Haven Waterway between Neyland and St Brides Bay between 23rd to 30th May 2026, weather dependent.

It’s that time of the year again and our annual duck race is just around the corner.

On bank holiday Monday at 1pm (or shortly after) we’ll be doing our duck race by the Bishops Palace in the river ford.

Please come along and support us, buy some ducks. We’ll have cakes for sale and the shop team will be there too.

Ducks will be available to buy from around 10-11am on the day.

The weather forecast looks fantastic, sunny and warm. Hope to see you all there. Please share and spread the word.

Let's make the Cleddau the most cleaned river in the UK this year as part of Paddle UK 's Big paddle Clean up.

Can your organisation pledge to clean other sections of the Cleddau or her tributaires?

Paddle West Pembroke will clean Castle Pond the Mill Pond and the Pembroke River. We'd love to have volunteers to join us on the water or banks

Milford Beach activity centre will clean from Gelliswick to Castle Pill.

We have litter pickers gloves and bags to lend. Do you have extra to lend too?

We will be putting on a free day of watersports on Castle Pond for all who take part.

Now the season has started, please check the maritime and coastguard agency , and the RNLI safety advice.

New registration requirements for Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) are in effect from today.

If you carry a PLB on board a UK-flagged vessel, hovercraft, or mechanically propelled watercraft, you must register it. This applies to all current and new PLBs, and you must remember to update details in case you discard it or change ownership.
