Wednesday working party - continuing to strip down Jurassic for the 10 year boiler overhaul. More parts removed, labelled and stored for the re-build. Today saw the saddle tank removed and then all bolts removed from the cab, along with various air pipes and the handbrake screw. The cab will be lifted next.

The 12th and 13th of September see the return of our popular WW1 Weekend! Come and see the reenactors of the Hull Ri**es and 54th Field Ambulance, the Royal British Legion, our collection of War Department rolling stock and our recently acquired WW1 Simplex for a brilliant weekend of living history.

Great news, we have had some rain this week and the trackside inspection has given us the green light to fire Jurassic on Saturday. So if you’d like to see her in one of her last outings for a while come on down and see us. After this season Jurassic is due for her 10 year boiler refurbishment so she’ll be out of action until rebuilt and passed fit to run, hopefully next season.
