The OF&G office will be closed from 1pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 until 9am Thursday 2 January 2025 OF&G is a leading organic control body.

We were the first organisation approved by the Government to inspect and license organic food and farming in the UK. Our job is to ensure farmers and food manufacturers are following the laws on organic food production, originally laid down by Europe and now retained and overseen in the UK by Defra. We have built a reputation for rigorous standards which are allied with efficient, sustainable and

profitable farming. As well as food, we inspect and license organic cosmetic and bodycare products, transport and storage operations, retailing, wholesaling, butchery, catering and more. We are also one of two bodies which operate a certification programme for composting sites and the digestate from anaerobic digestion.
