Only 3 sleeps to go. My 1st challenge before climbing Mount Toubkal is the packing. 38c at base 🥵 and windchill of -16°C 🥶 at The Summit.
I’m doing this challenge for the children and families of Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith Childrens hospice.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Josh 🌟

Josh is an amazing Hazardous Waste Coordinator and he has been apart of Selectaskip for 8.5 years. Josh helps customers find ways of removing and disposing of contaminated, hazardous or just unusual waste.

A good day at work for Josh is plenty of snacks first and foremost, and obviously customers enquiring with all the relevant information, pictures and testing of the waste they want removing. He enjoys being apart of Selectaskip because of the immense quality of humour and the brew schedule. ☕️

One fun fact about Josh is that he volunteered as a ‘Games Maker’ at the London 2012 Olympics at the equestrian park. 🐎

Ollie is one of our incredible Operations Assistants and he has been apart of SelectASkip for 1 year and 5 months. A working day for Ollie is quoting and booking for his account customers and keeping them happy.

A good day at work for Ollie is starting with a Greggs and a coffee in the morning, a lot of welfare/unit hire and a Redbull/s in the afternoon.
He enjoys being apart of a friendly and chatty team and also enjoys that there is always a coffee machine nearby. ☕️

Outside of work Ollie likes project bikes and is currently on his third one.

Grab hire and skip hire are both effective ways to remove waste, but they suit different needs.
Skip hire is ideal for ongoing projects where waste builds up over time. A skip is dropped off and collected later, giving you flexibility to fill it at your own pace. However, it usually requires manual labour to load and may need a permit if placed on a public road.
Grab hire is designed for speed and convenience. A grab lorry collects large amounts of waste in one visit, and can reach over walls or into hard-to-access areas. It’s especially useful for heavy materials and removes the need for most manual loading, with no permit typically required.
