80080 joins "Newstead" 🚂 👏

We're delighted to announce that 80080 is scheduled to join "Newstead" as our second steam locomotive at this weekend's Rails and Ales event!

Both steam locomotives will join our 3 mainline diesel visitors and a number of our home fleet diesels for a whopping 34 hours of train services across the 3 days🚂

🎵Relax at Weybourne Station with live music from 12 noon - 8pm, Friday and Saturday

The weather might have been a bit changeable but our team still thoroughly enjoyed their trip out to Norwich Crown Point Open Day!

From welcoming visitors onto Wissington’s footplate to chatting about all the different ways to volunteer, it was a good day all round … and of course there was time to see 37175 ahead of Rails and Ales next weekend 📸

🔥EXCITING NEWS 🔥We’re very happy to announce a third visiting engine for this year’s Rails and Ales!

All services marked “Loco A” on the timetable are scheduled to be hauled by Class 37, 37175 courtesy of Colas Rail. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Colas for supporting this event.

Colas are scheduled to send this engine subject to their mainline traffic requirements, with 37175 being our expected engine.

The excitement is building here at Gala HQ! Come and enjoy a 'Champion' evening with D1015 scheduled to haul our two evening departures Friday and Saturday this year.

You'll notice the timetable still has two mysteries, Loco A and Steam B.

We're awaiting confirmation if Loco A can be spared to come over to us for the event, and Steam B will be confirmed just before the event. Stay tuned, as soon as we have anything, we'll get it posted!
