KAY GEE BEE....END OF AN ERA

Unfortunately people, the stories and rumours from saturday are true. There is a new management team taking over at Bar Abbey and the next Kay Gee Bee soul night on May 10th will be our last. It is with a heavy heart I have to announce this as we have had so many brilliant nights down those stairs and met and made so many great friends. Everything is now being planned for this night and I can assure you we will go out on a high note and have one belter of a night.
Many thanks to Nigel and Bob for making sure the last night went ahead as planned. Also thanks to Debbie Hales-Davison for going round with the collection for myself and Ann. Personal thanks to each and everyone who donated, great friends.
Many thanks to everyone that's supported us over the years and of course everyone who's ever D.J.'ed for us.
Keep posted for more details of our last night. KTF.

Many thanks to all the KGB regulars and everyone who travelled to the KGB last saturday, even more so because of the terrible weather conditions. Also with it being a month where it's the first friday and second saturday there were lots of events on locally over the weekend.

A massive thanks to guest D.J.'s Mick2Dinners and Dave Glover for an excellent 2 hour spot between them. Classic northern all the way, top stuff lads. That's why Junction 36 is packed every month.

Thanks also to Lauren, (the managers daughter) for helping out on the door. It was her first night with us and she did a great job. Everyone made her welcome as all soulies always do. She really enjoyed the night and we hope to see her back again very soon, thanks again.

Numbers were down on what we normally get but every now and then we get a group of young and upcoming, soulies of the future, I think. Very polite, really enjoy the music, a couple of good dancers among them and they NEVER dance with their drinks, bonus. Great to see you enjoying northern soul and boosted the crowd to what we normally get.

Thanks to the manager, Andy, for his help in putting this night on and thanks to the bar staff and everyone who volunteer their help at the end of the night to put stuff away, you are all great friends.

Looking forward to next month allready, see you all out and about somewhere soon, Barry, KGB, KTF.
