A bitter sweet day in Monterey beach 😢

We did lots of wildlife spotting yesterday but nothing could prepare us for the sight of a beached grey whale!

This beautiful creature sadly didn’t make it but we still felt a sense of privilege to be able to see it in all its glory. Although very young it was still the size of a single decker bus.

From Las Vegas into Death Valley.
We watched our amazing friends Chris and Tracey renew their wedding vows at the stunning bliss chapel. Then onto the hottest place on earth. Death Valley is such a weird and beautiful place, to be in 40 degree heat yet see snow topped mountains is just surreal.
Then we had drinks while watching the sunset over the mountains.
Absolutely amazing adventure

never knew the moon was once part of our planet Earth 🌍 Did you?

Last night we visited the brilliant Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. We got to view the moon through telescopes that are used to guide the NASA spacecraft such as the Lunar module, Orion, and the crewless craft Orion launched by the NASA rocket Artemis.

We ended with an open air night show led by an astrologist whose lazer pen could teach the sky to pint out and name the stars ( he noted had to keep shutting down the lazer if he spotted an aeroplane 😧). To learn its history of how the moon and planet Earth was just so intriguing

If your ever in Flagstaff Arizona I would definitely recommend a visit, you can then be a moon expert like me 😂

Arrived Tanque Verde Ranch late last night, took my new mate Dave 🐎 out for a saunter around the Tanque Verde falls.
His owner warned me he has a bit of an attitude but he soon came round to my way of thinking and we got along like a house on fire ❤️
