Today I’m down at Travelport Langley for 2 days of training all things flights.

A strange feeling travelling down to Heathrow but not actually getting on an aircraft 😔 . These next couple of days are all about learning the Travelport system to be able to gain access even more flight availability for our customers.

To our customers and friends....Your referrals really are what makes our business, and for the month of July over 70 percent of our bookings came from your referrals.
When we hear new clients say thing like "you've come highly recommended" or "so and so says I must use you as you were so amazing" it really does remind us why we keep delivering our very very best for you.

Ordering Coffee in Portugal can cause a bit of confusion.
Let's break it down and help you get it right.

What to ask?

"Queria um Café por favor" (I would like a coffee please)- although this will get you a coffee, it'll probably be an Espresso (short, no milk, and very strong).

If you prefer a coffee with milk try these phrases:

Podia dar-me uma meia de leite por favor (could you give me a coffee with half milk please) this is the closest you'll get to a Latte
OR
Queria Um abatanado por favor (I would like a Abatanado please) the closest to an Americano, just not as big.
So, remember the different Coffees below and just start with either, queria um/uma or Podia dar-me um/uma.

meia de leite = coffee with half milk.
Abatanado = Americano
Galão = A large milky coffee served in a glass
Pingado = coffee topped with a little milk and served in a slightly taller cup.

Or just be like the Portuguese and have a good old Café duplo, thick, strong, and ideal for a burst of energy (just not too late or you may not sleep)😉
