A Change of Season 🍂🌊

There’s something rather lovely about September in Seaview.

After the buzz and bustle of another wonderful summer, the village begins to quieten down, the beaches become a little more peaceful, and there’s just that hint of autumn in the air.

But the moorings are still out, the Solent is still sparkling, and there are plenty of beautiful days left to enjoy on the water.⛵️🌊🏖️

From a few Seaview Dinghies and sailing boats to paddleboards and peaceful walks along the beach, September is a pretty special time to enjoy the Isle of Wight.

As the excitement of summer begins to settle, there's still plenty of time to enjoy everything that Seaview & the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Late summer is one of the most beautiful times to be on the water. Think golden August sunsets, warmer sea temperatures, calmer days around the bay, and a little more space to soak up the stunning coastal scenery.

The Seaview Dinghy (SVOD) is much more than just a sailing boat-it's a cherished part of Seaview's history and one of the most iconic one-design fleets in Britain.

Here are just a few reasons they're so special:

⛵ Built to suit the unique sailing conditions in Seaview.

🏆 One of Britain's most distinctive and historic one-design fleets.

🛠️ The Warren family have built nearly 200 Seaview Dinghies of which the vast majority are still in existence.

🔧 Many are still maintained and cared for by WarrenBoats.

🌊 During July and August, you'll often see over 100 SVODs on the water which are sailed throughout the day around Seaview.

At WarrenBoats, we're incredibly proud to continue supporting this remarkable fleet and helping preserve an important part of Isle of Wight sailing heritage for future generations.💬

⛵ It's Seaview Village Regatta Week! 🎉🌊

One of our favourite weeks of the summer is here! The Seaview Village Regatta takes place from 18–20th August, bringing together exciting racing, family fun and a fantastic community atmosphere both on and off the water.

WarrenBoats are proud to look after both the Skiffs and the Walker Bays used for the races which will take place on Thursday 20 August. 🚣‍♂️⛵

The village will be buzzing throughout Regatta week, with stalls lining the High Street and Esplanade, creating a wonderful festival atmosphere. And what better way to finish the celebrations than with fabulous fireworks at 9:35pm, lighting up the sky from the seafront! 🎆✨

Whether you're racing, volunteering, supporting from the shore or simply soaking up the atmosphere, we hope you have a fantastic Seaview Village Regatta! 💙

⛵ A Peek Behind the Scenes at WarrenBoats... 👀

Ever wondered what goes into getting the Seaview Dinghies (SVODs) ready for another day on the water?

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at our team hard at work rigging the boats. From checking the sails and fittings to making sure every detail is just right, there's plenty that happens before a dinghy leaves the shore.

It's all part of what we do to help keep Seaview's sailing tradition alive and ensure every boat is ready for a great day on the Solent.

🌊🚣‍♀️ FROM SEAVIEW TO THE ATLANTIC… 🌊

We’re incredibly excited to be playing a small part in a VERY big adventure! 💙

This December, Lottie & Ethan - The Exploring Duo will take on the World’s Toughest Row - a staggering 3,000-mile row across the Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to Antigua. 🌴🌊

No engine.
No sails.
No support boat.
Just two people, two oars and an enormous amount of determination. 💪

Their aim isn’t simply to race to the finish, but to show what can be achieved through preparation, perseverance, training and sheer grit - all while raising money and awareness for three fantastic charities: British Heart Foundation, Calder Valley Mountain Rescue and The Seaview Sailing Trust. ❤️

And we’re particularly proud that our little corner of Seaview played a part in helping them prepare.

Having a mooring with us meant Lottie & Ethan could get out on the water whenever the weather and tides allowed, without having to launch and recover the boat each time. This helped them complete their 120 mandatory training hours in just 8 days! 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

They even managed to row around the Isle of Wight in under 21 hours, using the tides to their advantage and finishing right back here in Seaview. 🌊⏱️

As they put it:

“WarrenBoats were the reason we were able to row around the island in under 21hrs.”

That’s something we’re rather proud of! 🥹💙

Now that the training is done, the next challenge is fundraising, preparation and getting themselves - and their boat! - ready for the Atlantic.

3,000 miles. One very big ocean. And one incredible adventure ahead. 🌎🌊

We’re so excited to be part of their journey and will be cheering them on every stroke of the way!

⛵ Cowes Week 2026 is Here! 🌊

One of the world's most iconic sailing events has arrived! Cowes Week has been bringing thousands of sailors and spectators to the Isle of Wight every summer since 1826, making it one of Britain's most celebrated sailing regattas.

There's nothing quite like the atmosphere across the Solent -spectacular racing, beautiful boats, and a shared passion for life on the water. It's a fantastic time to celebrate everything that makes the Isle of Wight such a special destination for sailing.

Whether you're competing on the racecourse, watching from the shore, or out on the water enjoying the excitement, we hope you have an amazing week! ⛵☀️💬
