North Moor Airfield – Status Update North Moor Aero Club and Model Aircraft Club have ceased operations permanently. The site is now designated North Moor Private Airfield , owned and managed by Darren and Lisa Haley. Permitted operations are strictly limited to: • Emergency landings • Police, military, or air ambulance flights • Pre-arranged visits only (contact Darren on 07925 462481) Airspace Advisory This remains an active private airfield. Although no Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ) is established, Civil Aviation Authority rules prohibit any flight—manned, drone, or model—that endangers aircraft, particularly during take-off or landing. Overflights are strongly discouraged below 500 ft AGL. All operators must maintain continuous visual line of sight and avoid conflict with airfield traffic.
