Tonight we’re incredibly proud to see three of our amazing team members representing SEA LIFE Scarborough at the Yorkshire Young Professionals Awards 2026.

👏 Karl – Hospitality Professional of the Year
👏 Athena – Education & Training Professional of the Year
👏 Abi – Business Development Professional of the Year

To be shortlisted amongst the very best young professionals in Yorkshire is a fintastic achievement in itself and a reflection of the passion, dedication and talent they bring to our attraction every single day.

All three continue to make a huge difference, not only for our guests and animals, but for the wider community and the future of our industry.

⚽️ Tonight's the night! ⚽️

The team from SEA LIFE Scarborough are swapping penguins and seals for shin pads and slide tackles as we take on the team from York Dungeon in a charity football match, raising money for the incredible Bradley Lowery Foundation 💙

as evidenced in this video if our last training session is anything to go by... we may need all the help we can get! 😅

🌍💙 Happy World Ocean Day! 💙🌍

What a fantastic evening on Scarborough’s coastline!

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers and families who joined us for our World Ocean Day Beach Clean. Together, we removed a significant amount of litter from the beach, helping to protect our local marine environment and the wildlife that calls it home.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership for supporting today’s event and for their continued commitment to protecting Yorkshire’s coastline.

Every bottle, wrapper and piece of fishing line removed makes a difference. Today’s clean-up is proof that when communities come together, small actions can create a big impact. 🌊♻️

Join us at SEA LIFE Scarborough this Sunday 31st May 2026 at 10:30 as we roll up our sleeves and help protect the coastline we all love 💙

Our beach cleans take place around low tide, giving us the best chance to reach areas where litter often hides. Every bottle, wrapper, and bit of debris removed is a win for marine life 🐚

All our guests today can take part in Art Activities with Animated Objects as part of Scarborough 400 celebrations.

Beneath the ground at Scarborough Spa is the location of a victorian pump room; where wealthy visitors to the town would come to sample the mineral waters that made the town famous. As this historic room is now no longer accessible, Animated Objects are creating an incredible full size interactive reconstruction of the space in cardboard for visitors to explore this summer.

One of the main features of the pump room is a multitude of decorative tiles.

All our guests can Join in our education room for a drop in session to get involved; decorating card tiles that will feature in this exciting reconstruction.
