Last Fridays encounter with Risso Dolphins in St Ives Bay

Did you know?

Risso's dolphins feed predominantly on squid and octopus. They hang out in pods of between 10 to 30 and can live for up to 35 years.

If you come on a trip with us at or around low tide, people often ask how we get them to the boat! So this is our low water transfer tender or “skiff” and is essentially the most important member of our team! We affectionately call the skiff “Mr T” and from early morning to end of day, Mr T is in the capable hands of Adam, who transfers all passengers out to Tiger Lilly waiting on anchor, where boarding from the skiff is smooth and safe thanks to the side door fitted new for this year.

It’s so nice to get out consistently after that pesky Easterly wind last week! Flat calm seas and lots of wildlife on our trips. Happy customers aboard Tiger Lilly 🙌❤️🙌 Tuesday onwards are looking a bit iffy weather wise but dare we say (whisper) it, the upcoming Bank Holiday is looking....🤞👌 We've put some Twilight trips up on the website, get booked in 🐬🦭🦀🪸🌊

As expected a mixed bag of weather for the Easter holidays kept us on our toes and we cancelled more days than we were able to get out on trips 🫣 The trips we did do were cracking, it's great to be back doing what we love and meeting customers old and new! Some of the best laughs are the fishing trips in the Cornish mizzle!

Thanks to those who have left us reviews the last couple of weeks also, we are always grateful for the recommendation of our little business 🙏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
