It's Saturday afternoon and Ollie has been 'sent to Coventry' and he's not a happy bunny!

But not for the reason you may have expected?

Traditionally being sent to Coventry was regarded as being shunned by friends/colleagues and/or not being spoken to.

In Ollies case he's was physically sent to Coventry, to collect a car that had broken down. The breakdown being caused by a negligent colleague from his car dealership.

It seems Ollue was on 'a promise.' From whom history has no record, bit clearly upset his plans for the day/evening!!

Not quite Henry Fords famous 'any colour so long as its black' quote regards his model T-Ford car.

Let me explain..

Bills wife lusted after a new car, the only criteria was that it had to be white, as good ameasure as any I guess?

However, Bill always on the look out for a deal, found a suitable white vehicle, but it was located in Southend and requires some attention.

So he duly hired our Lider 2.7t gvw car transporter trailer to collect said vehicle.

He only returned back home in Skem after 1am, having left at 9am the previous day!

Judging by the pic she hung out a flag in recognition of bills efforts on her behalf.

Does this represent yet another of my 'sliding doors moments?'

Many moons again in a galaxy far far away, I, as a young man lusted after such a car.

Fortunately my brain won in the dispute with my heart and I walked away from such a vehicle as pictured. Which was just as well as, as at the time the purchase would have eventually bankrupted me.

The margins between successful and failure are surely miniscule!!!

Fortunately for George he suffered no such qualms when deciding to buy thus 1999 MGTF 1800cc beauty, being semi retired.

He recently hired our BlueLine2.7t. gvw car transporter trailer to collect his latest purchase.

Maybe I should have bought one, and just hoped that lady luck would gave saved this once callow youth from financial armageddon

Me thinks in the long run I decided right!!

The customer said he wanted to move a BIG table, so we gave him a BIG trailer.

Us men are known for our inability to guage the true size of a thing!!

No matter.

Our customer was actually doing a favour for two of his friends. One wanted to remove her table to free up some space and the other needed a replacement table for a wooden one being used outdoors.

All that was needed was suitable transport between the two homes, hence the hire of our Blue Line 2.7t gvw car trsiler. Seems a bit of overkill but our trailer definitely did the job.

In hindsight we do have a much more suitable smaller trailer, but hey, the paying customer is always right, right.

Well, until they're wrong!!!

Also, less well known it is the favoured introduction from our latest customer Widnes Sue.

Sue and her husband John recently hired our Blue Line 3.5t gvw car transporter trailer to haul her ailing fathers Nivara home, to be eventually sold. You wouldn't believe how well the Nivara looked after a quick power washing.

Incidentally the Toyota tow vehicle they used was also her father's. It could be said her father was having a day out 'vehically' speaking!!!!

'La dolce vita'

For all you non Italian speaking followers of mine it means the good life. In Italy that is not justva saying but an actual way of life, as i can attest to.

Widnes born and bred train driver Greg had a sojourn to Sorrento whilst visiting the Amalfi coast, we LOVED it.

He and his wife were so so impressed with all things Italian including their cars.......such as Ferrari, lamborghini, Maserati etc or so you would think...

Wides boys are born different, Greg fell hooked line and sinker for the little old Fiat, specifically one with a white body and red canvas sun roof,, yip it takes all sorts to make a world.

So long story short, he purchased an identical one, in left hand drive no less.

Greg hired our Indespension CT2000 car transporter trailer to take his precious purchase to an expert in such cars to prepare her for the forthcoming summer if expensive, driving season.

Accrington Stanley, as a football team live and breath and currently grace the fields of league 2.

Accrington's infamy continues with the birth of this enormous Trike, a 1500cc engine built onto a Trike frame with a couple of seats bolted on as an afterthought!!

Bootle's very own Picasso 'Mark the paint' was unhappy with his 16yo princess riding a moped, so instead decided to purchase this Citroën Ami electric vehicle.

Believe it or not it can driven quite legally by 16 yo with only a provisional motorbike licence, having a top speed of 30mph, WOW!!

So and his good wife hired our Indespension CT2000 car transporter trailer to collect said electric 'car'from that den of sleeze Old Trafford Manchester.

We can wonder as to which vehicles of the 2020's will become classics of the future, say 100 years from now?

You could ask "does it matter, we ain't gonna be around then anyway!'

I have to admit it's not a question I ask myself on a regular basis, events in the Middle East weigh more heavily on my mind.

No matter, we can look back and see was around 100 years ago and survives to this day..

Here we have a pic of a 1922 French Carteret Cycle car, a what you ask!!!

It certainly caught the eye of local engineer/entrepreneur Edward who hired our 2.7t gvw car transporter trailer to collect yet again from 'dan stuff.'
