Diligence Fishing Trips Fishing vessel 'Diligence' is a 30 ft working fishing boat moored in the picturesque Cornish village of Mevagissey.

The boat is skippered by Matt Cave who has been fishing from Mevagissey for over twenty years. The boat runs ninety minute mackerel trips daily from late May to mid-September (weather permitting) starting at various times throughout the day. All rods and tackle are supplied - just bring yourself and some warm clothing. You can keep your catch, experience is not needed and it's great fun for all the family.

This year we have tried to extend our season into some tuna fishing however as soon as our tuna bookings started Mother Nature had other ideas. 😞
Looking at the latest forecast into November that’s us finished for 2025.
Thanks to our customer’s support, old and new, it’s been a pleasure to have you onboard our trips.
Unfortunately most of our tuna trips had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
Look forward to seeing you all in 2026.
