When people ask what I do, the answer is rarely as simple as “home styling.”

One day I’m reviewing floor plans and reimagining how a space could work better. Another, I’m preparing a property for sale, helping it look its absolute best for potential buyers. Sometimes I’m coordinating movers, unpacking a family’s belongings into a new home, or styling bookshelves and adding those final finishing touches.

Every project is different.

But whether it’s staging a home for the market, helping clients settle after a move, or creating calm and order in a busy household, the aim is always the same: to make a home feel considered, welcoming and ready for its next chapter.

Small changes can make a big difference!

My client’s end-of-terrace home in central St Albans was attracting interest, but not quite enough to secure an offer. The second bedroom was underutilised, making it difficult for potential buyers to see its full potential.

We introduced a single bed to define the space, decluttered key areas throughout the house, and gave the patio garden a fresh lease of life with a thorough jet wash.

The result? The property is now under offer 👏🏼

🎂1 Year of Pride of Place🎂

Pride of Place turned 1 this month and with September bringing fresh starts (and my eldest starting school! 🥹) it feels like the perfect time to reflect, refine and look ahead… ☺️

I’m so proud of that I’ve achieved in this first year and I’ve learnt so much along the way, especially about what it means to be a business owner. Those lessons will be coming with me into year two, which will bring an exciting new look and clearer focus on home staging and interior styling!

A heartfelt thank you to each of my clients and friends for trusting me and supporting me this past year. And to my family (especially hubby Luke, who has humoured me even when there was very little humour to be found! 😂) - your encouragement made this leap possible.

I’m delighted to have been awarded this home staging project in Buckinghamshire. Here are some work in progress mood boards for the kitchen and living spaces.

Pride of Place has been brought on board to stage this 1 bedroom flat to appeal to first time buyers using pre-loved and budget friendly finds. These mood boards are based on local items that are available to source at low cost in the local area.
