🌸🌿 Celebrating World Environment Day at Our Community Allotment Open Day 🌿🌸

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Friday officially opening our Community Allotment on World Environment Day.

We were honoured to welcome The Mayor, Councillor Matt Fisher, and Deputy Lieutenant Annie Brewster for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. Their thoughtful speeches helped mark what was a proud and emotional milestone for everyone involved in the project. 💗

Guests enjoyed seed planting, refreshments and the opportunity to explore the allotment, which is already flourishing thanks to the dedication of our volunteers.
We were also delighted that the weather stayed kind to us throughout the event.

A special thank you to The Mayor, Councillor Matt Fisher, for distributing wildflower seeds to attendees, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate this achievement.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible volunteers and funders. Your hard work, generosity, commitment and belief in this project have transformed an idea into a thriving community space that will benefit local people for years to come.

We are immensely proud of what has been achieved and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the years ahead—perhaps even to judge a prize-winning marrow! 🥒🏆

🌍💚 Happy International Children's Day! 💚🌍

Every child has the right to play, explore, learn, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

At LeeAnna's Wish, we are proud to be nurturing through nature and creating safe spaces where children can grow in confidence, build friendships, and connect with their community.

These photos capture some of our local children enjoying time at our Community Allotment alongside older members of the community. Through intergenerational activities, we bring people together, sharing knowledge, experiences, laughter, and kindness across generations.

By encouraging children to connect with nature and their community, we are helping to build stronger, healthier, and more connected futures for everyone.
