I am off to South Africa!!

Over the next 5 days I be sharing some teasers from my upcoming itinerary to give you a flavour of what i am about to experience

After 11hr flight to Johannesburg a quick plane change and my First stop: Durban, with lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean and then checking into a gorgeous beach house on the KwaZulu Natal coastline. Think ocean views, relaxed luxury and a gentle start before the adventure really begins.

Out of office is on and I am on route to Menorca, for 4 nights we are staying in a villa at the Lago Resort Menorca, for some laughter, fun and a cocktail or three with the girls, I will feed back my thoughts on my first villa holiday, we normally stay in hotels!

The amazing Tracey is in charge and has access to my systems so please contact me in the usual way if you need help or want to get something booked,

I will be back for 48hrs a quick turn around and some washing and then it is off to Durban for my South African Adventure!! Eek I am excited for this one.
Next week will be some teaser posts detailing parts of the itinerary and then when I am away Wi-Fi allowing I am planning to take you with me with daily update posts and the odd vlog along the way,

I cannot believe it will be a year next week since we were at LUX* South Ari Atoll planting our coral frame 🌊

During our stay we took part in a coral planting workshop, which allows guests to actively participate in the resort’s sustainability efforts. The long-term aim of this project is to restore the reefs around the island, helping to boost marine biodiversity, which is vital for the health of our oceans.

We have just had an update from the resident marine biologist on our frame (LSAA-283). It was first moved out onto the house reef and showed some early signs of growth, but a lot of the coral fragments sadly did not adapt to the conditions there.

The good news: our frame has now been relocated to the jetty reef area and any dead corals have been replaced with healthy new ones. It is being closely monitored and we will get another update in around six months.

I love seeing how these small projects can contribute to reef restoration and more sustainable travel, lets hope there is more positive news next time about our little frame,

A little heads-up that my out of office will be going on soon. I’ve got a few days in Menorca with the girls, then I’m straight off on an 11-day work trip to South Africa to explore some incredible off-the-beaten-track areas around Umhlanga/Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, before finishing up in Johannesburg meeting with hotel and supplier partners.

It’s going to be a full-on, jam-packed trip, all about seeing more first-hand so I can bring back even better ideas, insight and recommendations for your future holidays. I’ll be sharing lots along the way, so keep an eye out for my posts and videos.

I’ll be out of the office from 7 to 24 June, and back at my desk on 25 June. If you’d like to confirm any quotes or tie up loose ends before I go, now is a great time to get in touch.

We are officially half way through the year, not quite sure how it has gone that quickly and we are now officially in summer despite the weather due to change this week after the glorious weather of the past week,

May was a busy one with bookings to Croatia, Turkey, Budapest, Australia, New Zealand, Rome, Dominican Republic, Maldives, Italy by train, Japan and Vietnam.

I am also working on some lovely enquiries , for Thailand, Iceland, Greek island hopping, Med Cruise and California road trip, thank you as always for trusting me with your holiday plans, I love bringing your dreams to life!

Departures this month are New Zealand, Crete, Menorca, Italy tour, Venice, Sweden & Norway, Majorca and more,

Where’s hot at the moment, where is the trending destinations ? Orlando, Cruises, Canada, Japan, Greece, Tenerife and New Zealand are top selling places all with double digit increases on last year, where will 2026 take you ? As we found out last week, it is great when the weather is lovely at home but it is not the same as being on holiday with a swimming pool and Air con

June is an exciting and busy month for me too, this Sunday I am off to Menorca for 3 nights with the girls, our much needed one weekend of the year where we lay by the pool. Eat nice food, laugh, catch up and have one too many cocktails, does us all the world of good!

I am then back for 48hrs before I head off to South Africa on a work trip, which is a 11 day trip showing me first hand what South Africa has to offer, there are three different groups heading out on 13th June each group, each with a different itinerary, I am on the “ off the Beaten track” which is taking me to Umhlanga/Durban & KwaZulu-Natal, all three groups then meet in Johannesburg at the end where we meet with our valued supplier partners & hoteliers, this is all about experiencing the product first hand and making contacts, it is going to be a full on trip the itinerary is jam packed, but I will be taking you with me so keep an eye out for posts and videos,

How have I been back 10 days ! from my fabulous week at Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa in northern Majorca, the blog is still in progress as you have kept be busy with quotes, but thought I would a little peek with you…

Think: white‑sand beach at Playa de Muro, calm turquoise sea, and a hotel that really delivers for both relaxation and fun. I stayed in a Star Prestige room which meant access to an adults‑only rooftop with cabana beds, a plunge pool, snacks, drinks and amazing views, plus a quieter restaurant area for a more chilled, premium feel.

There are plenty of pools, a kids’ club and splash areas next door at Iberostar Selection Albufera Park, and you can wander between the two. The food was a real highlight: fresh show‑cooking, pasta, pizza, grilled fish and meat, three speciality restaurants and some very tempting desserts. I also loved hopping on the bus for a morning in Alcudia Old Town, with its cobbled streets, old walls and a little café serving incredible gelato and crepes.

Across the world, so many of our favourite travel memories begin with one simple ritual: a cup of tea.
