Touchdown in Canada… eventually!

I have arrived!!

After a long first day of travelling, a delayed flight from Manchester, = a missed connection in Toronto, some standby flights to get an earlier connecting flight and luggage deciding to take its own route, ( hopefully here this morning) we finally made it to Vancouver. Not sure how but I a stayed awake for 28 hours (with a couple of power naps on the plane!) on arrival greeted by David, our lovely transfer who whisked us to the next stop the lovely 4* Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

No bags and no toiletries, the team at the hotel went above and beyond: they actually went out and bought toothbrushes for all of us. Such a small thing, but it made a huge difference after a very long day.

In our room was welcome gifts from CSM my go to Canada supplier and hosts for the week,

Rene our host whisked to Joeys for drinks and nibbles before falling into the comfiest of beds where i have just woken up and waiting delivery of our bags 🤞 hopefully here within half an hour !!

I am now out of the office on my FAM ( Familiarisation ) trip to Canada, But don’t worry it is business as usual while I am away !!! the lovely Tracey and Linda will be on hand to help with any new enquires or get anything confirmed.

I am flying from Manchester to Toronto on Air Canada new direct service on Sunday morning, where I will then connect onto Vancouver where we are spending 2 nights before joining the Rocky Mountaineer to travel through the Rocky Mountains to Jasper, then 1 nights Jasper , 1 night Banff and 1 night Calgary before heading back to Manchester, and a long train home 😊

I am super excited about this trip and will be spamming my social media stories with lots of videos and pictures of trains and scenery, but promise to do a proper grid post when I can

I will be back at my desk on Monday 12th October but remember don’t want for me, Tracey and Linda are here to help

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure your holiday runs as smoothly as possible.

Once you’re booked, we are busy:

📋 Making sure important details and requests are passed on
🛂 Helping with passports, visas, entry requirements and APIS

Well I am back and just about over the Jet lag!

Alaska was amazing such an unforgettable experience so many memories I am sure I will be sharing for many months to come, ( very difficult to chose just 20 photos to share! ) I fell in love with Seattle too, so much to see and do,  but why cruise Alaska I hear you ask and why Cruise Alaska on Norwegian Bliss 

Alaska is one of those destinations that really does live up to the hype. 💙

The scenery is incredible – snow-capped mountains, glaciers, wildlife and beautiful little ports – and cruising is such an easy way to experience it all.

And Norwegian Bliss is a fantastic ship for Alaska. There’s plenty happening onboard, great entertainment, lots of places to eat and drink and, most importantly, loads of opportunities to simply sit back with a glass of w**e or a Pineapple & Coconut Mojito ( yes I tried a few) and watch that amazing scenery go by. 🍷🏔️

These are some of my favourite memories from the trip…

🐋 Whale watching in Juneau – seeing whales in the wild was just incredible

🚂 Riding the famous White Pass train in Skagway – the scenery was spectacular

🪓 Watching the Lumberjack Show and seeing the totem poles in Ketchikan

🌅 Those gorgeous Alaskan sunsets – there was lots

🍽️ Group dinners and lots of laughs we won’t mention the Karaoke

🎭 Seeing The Choir of Manonboard – absolutely brilliant!

🎸 Watching the Beatles tribute
band in The Cavern Club

🍷 W**e tasting onboard – well, it would have been rude not to!

🎭 Going behind the scenes of The Choir of Man

⚓ And a real highlight… being invited onto the bridge and meeting the Captain!

It was one of those trips where the destination and the ship were both part of the experience.

If Alaska is on your bucket list, I can honestly say it’s a very special way to see it. 🏔️🐋🛳️

Hello October

I know I say this every month but how is it October, the nights maybe getting darker earlier but there has been some lovely warm sunshine today which I un heard of for 1st October!

September was super bust month with many of my clients off on some amazing adventures, and I was lucky enough to spend the last 9 days in Seattle and Alaska sailing on Norwegian Bliss, which was amazing and cannot wait to share my blog and photos with you, once I have go over my jet lag and caught up on the lovely enquires that were waiting for me on my return, I am working on quotes for Japan, a UK cottage over Christmas, Florida for 2027, and a multi-centre trip to Rome, Malta & Gozo

October is looking to be a busy one too with clients off to Puglia in Italy, Zante, South Korea, New Zealand, Rhodes, Majorca, Crete, Cyprus and Vietnam and I am off again yes another trip but hey who wants to book with a Travel Expert that doesn’t travel ? it is just bad timing and always all happens at once, but next week I am super excited to be heading off to Vancouver and a trip on the Iconic Rocky Mountaineer Train !!

While I am away it is business as usual the lovely Tracey and Linda will be on hand to help with any new enquires or get anything confirmed

It’s time for home after an amazing bucket list adventure,

I realised I was behind on my posts it is so difficult when loads going on, so thought if share the last few days of our trip and then when I am home and write my blog I will share

Sailing through Glacier Bay, Alaska — where towering glaciers meet endless blue and every turn feels like stepping into another world. The day with the worse weather so cold but clear and calm in between the downpours! We didn’t get to see all three glaciers as planned as there was too much floating ice and the captain deemed it too dangerous, but what we did see what something i will remember for ever!

We only have 4hrs here and whilst my buddy went in search of bears, i will share her pictures and post soon, i decided to visit Totem Bight State Park in Alaska—surrounded by beautifully carved totem poles, rich Indigenous heritage, and the peaceful beauty of the rainforest, this was just a small glimpse into Alaska’s culture, history, and artistry, then for some fun I went to the lumberjack show 😂

Final stop was Victoria on Vancouver island, we docked late at 8pm and sailed again at midnight i took a late horse drawn tour of the city just an hour but got a brief glimpse

Then it was set sail to seattle where after docking yesterday morning I explored for one more day, more on that to follow

That is gold trip over and out I am very lucky to tick this amazing destination off my bucket list, thank you Helen & Gary from for your hospitality, Head Office team especially Dan and my TC friends for helping me make memories……who wants to go to Alaska ?

13 Years ago today I walked into the Travel Counsellors offices in Bolton ready to start my induction,

2 days later I left with my mind blown with information, no clients, just lots of hope and faith that this running my own business was going to work …………

13 Years, a few forest fires, volcano eruptions, airline strikes, FCDO advise changes, unrest, a pandemic and i am sure a lot more later, along with a few tears and lots of laughs along the way! I have sold 1763 holidays, sent 4631 people away with sales just shy of £8.6 million, I am a Gold TC, which means I am one of the top 10% in the company, currently sailing Alaksa with some fellow Gold TC’s on our 2026 Gold Trip, a real pinch me moment.

I couldn’t have done this without you trusting me and recommending me to family and friends, so a huge THANK YOU to you all, and here is to the next 13 ❤

With 19 dining options and experiences, Norwegian Bliss gives you plenty of ways to eat your way around the ship! From complimentary favorites to specialty dining like Cagney’s Steakhouse, Q Texas Smokehouse, Food Republic, Teppanyaki, La Cucina, Le Bistro and Palomar, there’s something for every craving.

So far this week we have dinned at Cagneys Steakhouse the most amazing food and steak cook to perfection, we couldn’t decide on dessert so they brought us one of each to share and try! If you are looking for something fun and entertaining then I throughly recommend the Teppanyaki restaurant great food fun and entertaining,

Both come with a 60$ per person service charge but if you have upgraded to Free at Sea package then you receive a set number of speciality meals included depending on the length of your cruise
