𝗞𝗕 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝘁𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘆-𝗼𝘂𝘁 (𝗠𝗕𝗢), 𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

This morning, Richard Burnett, KB Event CEO, and the leadership team completed the purchase of the business from Stuart McPherson. The MBO is led by Richard alongside his leadership team, including Sales Director Matt Jackson, with backing from investors Bob Harbey and H2 Equity Partners.

Stuart McPherson founded KB Event in 1992 alongside his wife, Leanne, and has since built the business into a trusted logistics partner for some of the world’s most complex live events. Throughout KB’s journey, the company has continued to lead the way in sustainable transport through innovations such as HVO and electric trucks.

After more than 30 years at the heart of the business, Stuart and Leanne will be stepping away to pursue separate ventures. Stuart remains a minority shareholder and will continue to support the board in an advisory capacity.

Richard, supported by his new investors and board members, is excited about the next steps for KB Event. “The new leadership team has exciting plans for the future - we will be focused on pushing the company to new heights, not only in terms of how and where we operate, but also in extending the range of services we offer to our clients.”

A very well respected fellow Northants haulier…thoughts go to the family…❤️. RIP

Worked alongside them as a driver in my career, use them for customs paperwork here and Italy, and sell them my trucks.

We are truly heartbroken to share that David Rogers passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A true legend of the industry, David—alongside John—was the driving force behind the company’s growth and success for more than 50 years. He was the most exceptional transport planner, with outstanding commercial acumen and a true natural leader, with an unparalleled work ethic.

We have lost a remarkable man, a wonderful character with a fantastic sense of fun, and both E.M. Rogers and the Rogers family will never be the same again.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are so grateful for, and proud of, all that he achieved and so thankful for the time we had with him, and the memories he has given us.

Back to work Monday! It’s been a busy week getting everything prepared, PMI’d and repairs done.
7 weeks after I was on the operating table having two hips!

First day of the rest of my life! Surgeon signed me off back to work! After 5.5 weeks!
I have "suffered" not the right word really, with Arthritis since I was 9yrs old. I have seen the very best and the very worst of the NHS during my life.
Everyone is absolutely surprised at my quick recovery, including me to a point. Having two new hips is life changing, and for me it’s like turning the clock back!
I have recovered during my life from two near death experiences, A Plastic Anemia in my 20's, and Pneumonia in my 30’s, giving me 24hrs to live in Ashford Hospital after coming in from Italy.
Both times I astounded the doctors and bounced back very quickly, and was back on the road in a matter of months.
It's not always been like that, iv been through some very dark periods of my life, and on a few occasions gave up.
However, being surrounded by a very supportive wife, family and friends is all the initiative I need.
I fight for life. We are confronted with many obstacles in our life, it's the way you overcome them that makes you what you are....see you on the road soon

So this is what I’m up to during the night on the run up to Christmas. Keeping the shelves stocked at the M&S Food Halls and Garages. Doing it a few weeks now, which means sleeping in the day, therefore only email contact please if you need to get a hold of me.
