Travel Tip Thursday ✈️

Packing cubes: the travel hack I can’t live without!

These little zip-up cubes have been a total lifesaver on so many of my trips, especially when I’m staying in multiple places or storage is limited. They keep everything organised, make unpacking in each hotel so much easier, and mean I can grab exactly what I need without turning my suitcase upside down every time.

My top tip:
Use a different cube for each category (e.g. tops, bottoms, underwear, swimwear) or even one per stop on your trip. It saves so much time and stress, and helps keep your clothes neat and crease-free.

Running my own business as a Travel Counsellor is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I get to build genuine relationships, create unforgettable holidays and be there for my customers at every step, which I absolutely love.

But on World Entrepreneur Day, I also want to share the reality behind the scenes. As a self-employed travel business owner, I don’t receive a salary. I’m only paid when a customer books and then actually travels on a holiday with me. There’s a lot of unseen work: researching options, checking details, holding space for plans that sometimes never quite happen. It can be hard at times, but it’s always worth it when I see your photos, hear your stories and know I’ve helped create special memories.

Every enquiry, every booking, every referral and every recommendation means more than you know. You are directly supporting a small, independent business and helping me continue doing what I love.

INNSiDE by Meliá Amsterdam was the perfect base for our whirlwind Amsterdam adventure.

It’s in a brilliant location: right opposite the train station and just around the corner from a tram stop, so getting to and from the airport and into central Amsterdam was super easy and stress free.

Top tip for Schiphol: if you’re using the train from the airport, don’t forget to tap in and out with your ticket or card. The tap-in points aren’t very obvious, so keep an eye out before you head to the platform!
