Price increase.
It is with regret that due to increasing fuel costs we are forced to increase our prices with immediate effect. Over the past several years we have been allowed to park our buses without charge at Sharnbrook Academy during the day, however from the new term, this arrangement is no longer permitted. The result has effectively doubled our mileage and in turn our fuel costs. Along with increased rent costs and staffing costs we are left with little choice but to raise our prices. We have tried to minimise the level of increase by taking on extra work to carry some of the additional overheads but this can only go so far. The new prices are as follows;
Weekly (1 child) £22
Sibling Rate £20 per child.
Single Fare £3.00
This will be followed by an additional £1 per week increase (20p on single fares) from the start of September 2026.
I am aware that some disadvantaged and vulnerable students may be able to get a bursary to help with their school transport costs, if you think you fall into this group, please contact Sharnbrook Academy for further guidance.
