"The coach was equipped with everything we needed for a long journey to Scotland. The driver was excellent and really accommodating to our requirements, he was very clear keeping us informed when stops were required. All our cases were loaded into the coach carefully and taken off carefully. He was polite and friendly and all our passengers became very fond of him. We would recommend Selwyns if anyone is thinking of hiring a coach. We have used them for the past 5 years for an annual trip to Fort William and they have always met our expectations and exceeded them throughout our time using them."

We are expanding!
Selwyns is now looking for an experienced PCV Mechanic to join our depot based in Manchester, working 42 hours (daytime shifts) to assist in the maintenance of buses and coaches.
The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for the examination, preparation and presentation of PCV vehicles including a modern fleet that are due for MOT and DVSA inspections as well as monthly inspections to ensure compliance to DVSA standards.
Responsibilities/Role Requirements:
· General maintenance of vehicles (buses and coaches)
· Keeping full detailed documents to ensure proof of compliance.
· Attending vehicle breakdowns.
· Ideally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance) although consideration will be given to applicants who hold the relevant skills and qualities via experience.
· Excellent awareness of health and safety.
· Experience of working in the industry and familiar with DVSA and MOT requirements.
· PCV or HGV licence would be desirable.
What we will provide you with:
Ø Competitive salary
Ø 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
Ø Competitive rates of overtime - £24.42 for working Saturdays and £32.55 for working Sundays

Following the lifting of Covid restrictions and an increase in demand for private hire bookings, we are now actively recruiting several vacancies for the role of PCV Driver to carry out private hire work at our Manchester and Runcorn depots at an excellent pay rate of £12.50 per hour Monday to Friday and £13.50 for weekend working.
PCV Driver / Coach Driver Requirements:
PCV Driving Licence
CPC
Digital Tachograph card (Not essential)
No more than 6 Points on your licence
No disqualifications from driving in relation to Alcohol or Drugs
Good customer care skills
PCV Driver / Coach Driver Benefits:
