⚠️⚠️⚠️ WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Sadly this morning it was brought to my attention that there have been two men in a white van (possibly of another nationality) fraudulently claiming they work for my company and attempting to remove household waste within the Rugeley area.

These people are removing waste illegally and possibly flytipping or worse this may be a ruse for burglary.

The police have been made aware but for your own safety always remember:

♻️ Ask for identification and waste carriers licence.

♻️Message the business page to confirm you have spoken to the legitimate company.

♻️I attend most if not all jobs in a sign written van.

♻️Inform the police of suspicious vehicles and activity.

Let's protect our little town, this is getting far too frequent.

REMEMBER: Whether it be a plumber, builder or even a gardener, it is illegal to remove any kind of waste without the correct licence and insurance.

The summer months often lead to more and more unlicensed individuals removing people's waste and/or scrap metal.

These people often use an unmarked van or personal vehicle, often advertise weekend rubbish clearances, never provide the required paperwork, do not have a Waste Carriers Licence, Scrap Metal Collectors licence and Waste insurance. They often fly tip or store rubbish.

It's tempting to use these services as they may be cheaper, but it is illegal and more and more customers are now being fined too. Don't be a victim use a professional business.

Such a fantastic result for this local school and our community!!! So pleased for them!

Local thefts seem to be more frequent lately.

Whatever businesses you use make sure they are legitimate and easily traced.

Let's knuckle down on all this theft and flytipping!

Following a successful police appeal, a primary school in Rugeley has been reunited with a pair of historic art deco lanterns.

The lanterns which were stolen from Chancel Primary School last March, were recovered earlier this month following information from members of the public, and an appeal shown on BBC Crimewatch Roadshow.

The copper lanterns had been part of the school since it was built in the 1930s, and officers were delighted to return them to head teacher Tina Blankley today.

Customers could be fined HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of pounds. Not to mention it's taxpayer's money that's used to clear up their mess!

So don't be duped, always check that whoever you use are registered waste carriers.
