Do you need to dismantle all of your furniture when moving house?

Only if you can't move the item as is.

Usually, it's only beds and wardrobes that need dismantling as they are big bulky items that struggle to go up and down the stairs without damaging the walls, the furniture, or the people!

There are always exceptions though.

Some furniture (sometimes even beds and wardrobes!) that can move as they are.

At least it's one less thing you have to do before your removal day.

But of you fancy it, we can dismantle and reassemble for you!

General rule of thumb when you're packing to move house:

"If it fits in a box, put it in a box"

You'll hear this quite often from your surveyor, your packing team, your removal team, and the office team.

And for good reason. It's a rule we live by.

It will make your removal go far smoother, reduce the risk of damage to your items, and saves space on your truck!

So just remember, when you're packing:

If it fits in a box, put it in a box!

This job needed a full packing service, and then a 2 day removal with a 12 tonne truck, a 3.5 tonne van and 3 strong removal people.

What do you do if you have too many clothes but you need to move house?

Well there's a couple of options.

👚 Donating is always a quick and easy way to clear some space in your drawers, and support a local charity.

👔 You could sell clothes on places like Vinted to make a bit of extra money.

👕 Or if you're attached to your clothes and don't want to part ways with any, that's fine too!

👗 We can provide garment carriers for all your hanging clothes to move them safely and to keep them away from dust and dirt.

👖 We can supply large boxes for any non-hanging clothes at the bottom of wardrobes or in drawers.

🩳 Or if the drawers themselves are coming with you, sometimes you can leave the clothes where they are, and we can take them as is!

Fantastic work to the team on the removal from Northampton to Sunderland!

This was a 3 day move with an 18 tonne truck and 2 removal men.

They even got to spend the night up North in Sunderland, even if they were there to work it's always nice to get away for the night!
