Work continues on 37 009. The cab roof is being painted, with hopefully the rest of the cab to follow. Steady progress.

08 114 ready to depart to the Epping and Ongar Railway for a short period on loan. This will possibly be the first time that the loco has been away from "GCR Metals" for over 30 years.

08114 to visit for Diesel Gala.
We are delighted to announce that class 08 shunting locomotive, 08114, will be visiting for our diesel gala later this month (23 and 24 April). The locomotive will be remaining on hire for a number of months, to assist with our day to day shunting and maintenance requirements. The locomotive is not expected to see regular use on our passenger services, so the diesel gala will offer a rare opportunity to have a ride behind the venerable shunting locomotive.

08114 was built at Derby works and entered traffic numbered 13180 in October 1955. It spent a number of years working at Cricklewood in North London and was withdrawn in 1983.
