Here is a recommendation if you are driving up the M1 at Northampton (junction 16). This is a proper old school Transport Caff where you get lots of food at low cost and a mug of tea the size of a flower-pot.

You can also have a shower, buy high viz jackets & jump leads, and park your lorry round the back - and go through the truck wash, if you like.

I can't recommend this place enough. You can also get there by car, so don't worry if you're not a lorry driver! One of those cars is mine - I was on my way up north last week.

Edit: - My youngest son says that Bruno's in Soho, London is better, but you have to walk there. It's located at the corner of Wardour and Peter Streets.

Kyle has been with us a for a few months now and is a very welcome addition to the team. I don't know where he gets all his energy from.

This the "loose storage" area of our warehouse, normally used for items which are too big to go into containers. Anyway, the picture shows three crates which have been used for transporting fine art in the past, and they are now sitting there waiting for further use.

This was the sight that greeted me at last month's BAR* meeting, of which I am the newly elected local chairman. There were a couple of big names in the room, such as Ian Palmer, the boss of White & Co, so I was in good hands.

Normally we meet at the Romsey Golf Club, which is the geographical centre of our region. But this is the second time now that we have switched it around and watched a game of cricket afterwards, whilst sipping a beer and talking shop.

I MoTed a van yesterday (ignore the indicated date). The guy asked me if I had deliberately done some extra miles to make the milometer a nice number - actually, I hadn't even noticed until he pointed it out.

If you have been walking through our Romsey department store lately, you would have noticed this hoarding. The pictures below show the other side. I'm reliably informed that this will be a new toy department - Bradbeers will be selling toys (including Lego).

It was organised chaos at a secret location in Romsey on Friday when we moved someone out of a house, but also moved the new owners in, on the same day.

It's a been a busy week, made worse by our warehouseman being away on holiday - but everyone is in good spirits.

Our driver (second from the right) didn't want to be on social media, so I have used AI to change his head to that of James Hunt. Did you notice?
