As the New Year and New Decade approaches we would like to say thank you for the support. Although progress is slow it doesn't mean it has stopped.
Work on the whistle is progressing and parts have been sourced to fit it to a working locomotive. Minor work needs to be done to the whistle valve in order for optimal performance, seen here in the photo. Technically mounted backwards to which it would've been on the Claud but this insures no modifications to the locomotive have to be done. The whistle will be fitted during a special event and will be the first time a Claud has been heard in 60 years.

The Claud Hamilton Locomotive Group are pleased to announce they have received the Bogie Frame Plates, what a fantastic end to the year. The group are looking forward to building on this success and moving the project forward. The CAD work is already in progress for the next items required for continuation of the assembly, this will be the main focus for the New Year. Thank you to all the supporters over the years so far.

We will be at the Epping and Ongar railway Gala this weekend. Saturday and Sunday. As a group we enjoy going to this every year. Such friendly staff and a really interesting railway.

We will be at the East Anglian Railway Museum Summer Steam Gala on the 8th July. This will be the first time we have been to the EARM with a stand and we are looking forward to it.

Good afternoon all,

Our base railway, The Whitwell and Reepham railway, requires help with a petition in order to continue to the next phase of the vision. They are aiming to relay the track back along the old line whilst keeping the path. I hope you will be happy to sign. Thank you.

The Whitwell & Reepham Railway Preservation Society are a Heritage Railway and have been running for over 10 years. We would like to relay track on an old track bed running from Whitwell & Reepham Station to Lenwade Station, making sure the existing users can still use the land as well.
