Thanks to a grant from Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival we're able to offer FREE guided repairs on the first Saturday of the month until October. Bring your bike down and do your own repairs with the support of our mechanics. The funding also covers parts like inner tubes, cables and brake pads.

We suggest signing up to a FREE Wednesday workshop (thanks to Avanti Cycling and Reading Borough Council) to learn the skills on one of our bikes, and then bring your own bike in on a Saturday to do it under guidance. And I don't know about you, but some of us appreciate someone double checking we put the wheel back on tightly enough. :)

The chief mechanic will be cycling with his Mum so we're closed for the bank holiday.

In general we want to get a balance of the hub being available with our core team having time with their families so expect this to be the trend on bank holidays. :)

Thames Valley Police are working in partnership with Decathlon!

This Sunday, 24TH May, come on down to the Decathlon, Forbury Retail Park, Reading, RG1 3HS.

There will be bike marking and registration, bicycle services and health checks carried out by Decathlon technicians, safety and security advice, and much more!

We get asked why we don’t list our bikes online all the time. 2 reasons, we don’t have time - there is so much wonderful stuff going on, and for anyone who hasn’t noticed a small child to raise, that we don’t have a chance to list the bikes each week.

The other reason is that shared stock is a bit risky and we don’t have the processes in place to make sure people on and offline don’t buy the same thing.

But here’s an idea of what we have this week.

So excited Frankey walked in this morning to ask about the cargo bike. He’s opening a mobile lock smith service in Reading and wants to do it via cargo bike.

Opening in June. We’re super excited to see local businesses like this!

Would it surprise anyone that the Head Mechanic spent the bank holiday cycling? It’s a difficult to take a photo as there’s some very varied speeds, but 2 adults on bikes, 1 mum and a tag along and 2 grandparents on a tandem.

All but the tandem have been pre loved bikes. 16 miles, 1 picnic lunch and lots of fun.

Bikes are great!
