The tank's off the MAN and over at the welders getting patched up and prettied up. Might treat her to a brand new one down the road, but for now, she'll clean up just fine 😉

While it's off, seemed like the perfect excuse for a little TLC and some preventative maintenance too. Gotta take care of the little things before they become big things 🔧🛠️

Afternoon world 🌍💚

Well… it’s slowly starting to happen!

I’ve started the changeover, and today The LimeLiner is back wearing her original plate. 💚🚛

There’s going to be a fair bit of clearing out to do this week, and assuming everything goes to plan, I’m hoping to be jumping into the MAN from next week.

I’ll also start getting the MAN ready to go, and there’s a few jobs to tackle before she’s ready for work. First job on the list is getting the fuel tank welded — especially with fuel prices being what they are at the moment! 😂⛽️

Slowly but surely, we’ll get there. 💚

Afternoon world 🌍💚

So, time to let you know what’s happening…

Some of you will remember that last year I bought the low loader trailer after we won a contract with a plant hire company. We then bought a second tractor unit with the intention of employing a second driver and running both trucks.

Unfortunately, things didn’t quite go to plan. We got shafted by the plant hire people, so we dropped back to just me and The LimeLiner, doing whatever work we could to keep things moving.

The reality was that I was then paying for two units and trailers out of whatever I was bringing in. It was manageable for a while, but I knew deep down it was never going to be sustainable.

So, we hatched a plan…

Put both trucks up for sale and whichever one went first, I’d keep the other and carry on from there.

Then along came my very good finance man (CCS Finance)
— who, as well as being bloody good at his job, is also a genuinely good bloke. He knew what we were planning and contacted me to ask if I’d consider selling the low loader.

One phone call led to another, and by the time I’d put the phone down, an agreement had been reached to sell both the Scania and the low loader.

So, that’s the end of an era.

There’s been a lot of blood, sweat, money, laughs, stress and probably a few choice words gone into The LimeLiner. She’s been a massive part of the LimeGreen story and, if I’m honest, letting her go is a bloody difficult decision.

But sometimes you have to let the head rule the heart.

Which leaves me with the MAN.

Now, she might not be The LimeLiner just yet… 😏

But I reckon she’s got potential.

And knowing me, you can probably guess what’s coming next… 👀💚

The truck may be changing, but the LimeGreen story certainly isn’t over.

In fact, I’ve got a feeling the next chapter could be rather interesting…

Morning world 🌍

So, as promised, a bit more news for you… and this one is a little harder to share.

An agreement has been reached to sell The LimeLiner! 💚 (subject to a few final bits, of course).

It’s been a really tough decision for me. I’ve been through some incredible highs and a few pretty tough lows with her, and there’s been a lot of blood, sweat, tears and, let’s be honest, money 😂 poured into that truck.

I’m not sure the family have quite forgiven me yet, but sometimes the head has to rule the heart.

I’ve still got a few more days with her, though, so there’ll definitely be some opportunities to get some more photos and make the most of those final miles together. 💚

As difficult as this decision has been, I’m genuinely excited about what comes next.

I’m not going to give too much away just yet… partly because I’m not sure I’m ready to 😂 and partly because I want you lot to come along for the ride.

There are going to be some big decisions, a few challenges, and hopefully some exciting new opportunities ahead.

So please stick around, keep following the page and watch this space.

Firstly, we welcomed the arrival of a new grandson to the family! 👶🏻🍼🩵

Safe to say, there’s been plenty of excitement, smiles and a fair bit of celebrating in the LimeGreen household! 💚
