Rainford Trail Blazers

Rainford Trail Blazers Thanks to winning the Northwest People’s Millions programme. Over twenty five pebble mosaics were made by all the Rainford schools and the local community.

The Rainford Trail Blazers is a site where we celebrate all of Rainford's great projects and schemes and where we dream up and plan for new projects and changes we want to see. Rainford C of E Primary received nearly £50,000 to deliver a project that will see the Linear Park improved. These panels are placed throughout the park. Two large sculptures, made by the community, are at the Rookery and

Old lane entrances. These sculptures are based on the history of the village. A trim trail and benches designed by the schools are placed along the linear. It is hoped the Linear Park will be used more, especially to walk children to school, minimising the negative effects of car transport. Lets keep this page a place where we can dream up new projects for Rainford village.

please come to our big opening tomorrow Sat 26th November 12-3 at the ex- servicemans club off Cross Pitt lane , Rainford , to celebrate the end of our project! lots of free refreshments and art and environmental workshops for everyone....come and see the 30 mosaics , benches and sculptures made by over 1000 young people and adults!

Please search for 'What's On In St.Helens' and like the page! Lots of events and activities for the whole family across the Borough. This weekend see's a wonderful performance from Haydock Male Voice Choir at The Town Hall plus The Santa Express will be giving rides through the town :)
