The climax has landed!

Tomorrow and Sunday the climax will be out pulling trains alongside our other narrow gauge fleet. Why not come along and have a few rides on the train? Normal times and prices apply.

VISITING ENGINE THIS WEEKEND - 30th & 31st May

This weekend we will be running a multi train day on Saturday and Sunday. We are also pleased to announce joining us over the weekend is Climax. The real Climax locos were a specialised type of geared steam locomotive designed to haul heavy loads over steeply graded tracks, found on many logging railways.

Normal prices apply. Trains run from 11:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 15:30

TRAINS RUNNING THIS WEEKEND AND BACK HOLIDAY MONDAY.

Saturday and Sunday will be a normal service with our flagship engine Pulborough. On Monday we will be having a 3 train day with Mogul, 4433 and Sir Nigel Gresley.

We are open each of those days from 11:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 -15:30. Normal prices apply.

Todays loco is Peggy. We are running from 11:00-12:30 and 13:30-15:30 with a South Downs Belle train at 12:00 and 15:00.

It’s a dry day and the A4 sales up the hill with out trouble! It’s the first day of our gala and we’re open. It’s a lovely day so far so why not come down and enjoy the day with us.

MINIATURE TRANSPORT WEEKEND
2nd & 3rd MAY 2026

Our Miniature Transport and Traction Engine Event is coming up soon at South Downs Light Railway, Pulborough on the 2nd and 3rd May. This event will see multiple passenger and demonstration goods trains running. Over on The Green there will be miniature traction engines and exhibits for you to see. A great day out!


The event opens at 11:00 until 15:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Normal ticket prices apply, and tickets can be purchased on the day from our ticket office.
