✈️ “We’ve probably left it too late…”

Honestly? Most people haven’t.

There are still some fabulous 2026 holidays out there if you know where to look 🌍
Family trips. Girls weekends. Honeymoons. Winter sun. Luxury escapes. Solo adventures.
I’m still booking all of it daily.

So if booking the holiday keeps sitting at the bottom of the life admin list… consider this your gentle reminder 😅

Pop me a message if you’d like some ideas, inspiration or simply someone else to take the planning stress off your plate and let’s get something lovely in the diary ✨

One of the things people often assume about being self employed is that you just quietly get on with things yourself, especially when life feels a little heavy.

But this week, the team at Travel Counsellors reminded me that behind the business cards, laptops and phone calls is actually a pretty special group of humans.

These beautiful flowers arrived unexpectedly and honestly felt like a big warm fuzzy hug when I needed it most. 🌸🪻 🌼

Very grateful to be part of a business where people genuinely care about one another, not just professionally, but personally too.

Kindness really does matter. And sometimes the smallest gestures land the biggest. 🤍

Thank you 🩷

Hubby and I took a few minutes to recharge and refuel earlier this week at Drift Café, just outside North Berwick near Tantallon Castle… and honestly, what a cracking spot.

Stunning views across to Bass Rock, the beach below, seabirds diving for fish, sunshine, sea air and delicious food thrown in too. It was busy for all the right reasons and I absolutely loved the outdoor van for those grabbing coffees and snacks on the go.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget what we have right on our doorstep here in East Lothian. Days like this are a lovely reminder to slow down a little, soak it all in and support brilliant local businesses while we do it.

What a beautiful day it was too. Scotland really does show off sometimes. ☀️🌊

Where’s your favourite local spot to stop, reset and take in a view like this? I’m always looking for new places to discover.

For Dad 💜

This June, Arwen and I will be walking 2 miles a day along the East Lothian coastline, raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the incredible work being done for families facing cancer. Thank you so much for your support.

Suzi & Arwen xx

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Having recently lost my Dad to cancer, I’m going to be taking on the Walk 60 Miles Challenge this June to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving cancer research by donating to my page. Thank you so much.

☀️ A little note to my lovely clients and travel community…

I won’t be holding my usual Friday drop in at Café Filly this week as I’m taking the opportunity to start the Bank Holiday weekend early and practice a little of what I’m always encouraging others to do… investing in self and adventure. ✨

That said, I’m still very much here behind the scenes, working on beautiful itineraries and happily taking new enquiries, so if inspiration strikes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I may just reply with slightly more “long weekend energy” than usual… likely fuelled by coffee, fresh air and a determination to properly switch off for five minutes. 😉

With love,
Suzi x

A little peek behind the scenes of my week… ✨

Alongside working on some really lovely client itineraries and upcoming trips, I’ll also be dedicating a little time this week to my own business growth and development.

Later this week I’ll be attending the Travel Counsellors “Your Next Chapter” Roadshow, followed by our mid-year mini conference, with a focus on learning, reconnecting and reenergising everything we do for our clients.

I’m especially excited to explore some of the refreshed interactive tools and technology coming through, including TC Co-Pilot and Phenix, all designed to help us better support, engage and look after our clients throughout their entire travel journey.

It’s so important to me that I continue investing time into learning, improving and evolving my business, so that I can continue giving my clients the very best service possible.

Then, once all of that is done, I’ll be taking a couple of days to properly enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend with family, as we start preparing for a very special family celebration of our own in just a few weeks’ time ❤️

I am absolutely still here for any new enquiries, messages or travel plans, although responses may be just a little slower than usual at points this week while I juggle all of the above.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support of my little business. It never goes unnoticed ✨

P.S. Before anyone asks… no, sadly I do not wake up looking like the AI version of “Travel Barbie meets organised chaos” with perfect hair, glowing skin and a spotless Shoffice 😂

The real version is usually powered by coffee, dry shampoo and mild spreadsheet panic.

🐾 Miss Arwen Monday 🐾

This weekend’s adventure looked a little different for Miss Arwen.

No mountains conquered.
No wild zoomies.
No muddy chaos.

Just a gentle wander, slow sniffs, fresh air, and a reminder that sometimes healing is the adventure.

After her recent stem cell treatment, recovery is now the priority and honestly, she’s teaching me a pretty important lesson in the process. We’re often so focused on pushing forward, climbing higher, doing more, that we forget that rest, recovery and giving ourselves time to heal is also investing in ourselves.

Not every season is about full speed ahead.
Some seasons are about recuperation.
About patience.
About small steps that still matter.

And judging by the happy little face beside me this weekend, I think Miss Arwen approves of the slower pace… although I suspect she’s already plotting a return to full Donkey Sanctuary mischief very soon. 🐶✨
